Well, thanks for the work BlkSerialKilla ... Good video. I think I'll wait until the emulator is a little more updated to match a better more playable FPS, and the textures can load properly . Thanks for putting in the work, tho!!
I see some of the textures aren't perfect, but it's not too bad. I think this is because of ISO problems, not the emulator or my specs.
I'm on 4GB Ram and 2.13Gh, so I should be able to run this at more then enough space.
I was also wondering, is there a program to rip the ISO off of my actual games? If there is, then has anyone successfully ripped a working, good quality game from it?
@eviltube1111 wow, you are cool. Keep in mind this machine was built in 2006 and used through 2007 and even then this machine was crappy. so stating the obvious is not going to help :P
@eviltube1111 Yeah I dunno dude... This was uploaded to YouTube in 2007. My guess is that nowadays with a faster computer, you'll probably get a better frame rate. These emulators can only go as fast as the machines you play them on. If your computer is faster, the game will be faster. It's as simple as that.
well any way i can get this to work? specs = amd athlon x2 core processor l310 1.2 ghz

Also the controls were very confusing to figure out which keyboard button goes with what controller button .... but im not gonna give up on it just yet- i just hope this isnt too illegal, lol:)
HOW CAN YOU PLAY GAMES ON IT??? I DO THE SAME AS EVERYONE BUT WHEN I'M TRYING TO GET THE GAME FILE OUT OF THE WINRAR ARCHIVE I GET THET STUPID ERROR: You need to have the following volume to continue extraction
Insert a disk with this volume and press ''OK'' to try again or press ''Cancel'' to break extraction.
I was able to get dolphin to work relatively fine for my windows 7 x64 quad core machine. I just don't know how to enable online play or anything like that. The only problem i really had was with audio. It would come in a bit choppy for phantasy star online I&II, and only worked in offline mode.
It does not look like a lot of fun to play it like that. Nonetheless, I guess the most fun is to be had in tweaking and trying to get it to work and I can imagine that this is a good result. Also, your explanation sounds very clear.
if ya ganna try tis emulator, download da lastest one and make sure u got a lot of graphics and a good processor, im running on a BFG nvida Geforce gtx 285 2G, games run fine but emulator ant done, still slow downs in some parts of games

These do work right, and there's a lot of reasons to do it on PC.
It's more convenient, it looks A LOT better with things such as HD resolutions, you can use customized controllers, you don't have to have a million disks laying around, it comes with online play for games that originally didn't have it (like smash bros melee), you can mod the games, and much more.
They're ISOs, and since you didn't even know that, you won't be able to make Dolphin run right anyway. So until you have enough brain to find ISOs yourself (it's very very easy), give up.
the general word used to describe the games is "ROM". ISO is a specific file type of the disk image (they also come in CDI, IMG, UDF, etc.). Brainless people can't call other people brainless. that's like George Bush calling someone an idiot
An ISO is a filetype. A rom is the game itself. The reason why it's called rom? Because games are programmed onto read only memory, whether it's a solid transistor chip or a cd/dvd rom.
All you did was say what the acronym is. What do ISOs and ROMs have in common? they're both used to archive files and nearly unusable unless there was an application used to open them. ISOs replaced ROMS because they're easier to use. I will admit, by definition, the word ROM is incorrect when referring to images, but the word ROM is widely used as an adjective (description) when referring to the "games" in general. not image types specifically. That's why people still use that word.
dude can u send me these files? the extract thingy uses cmd in the new donwloads and i cant load them for some reaosn id apreciate a mediafire link plz :P
when I load a game in dolphin, a yellow screen appears with words at the top, then a light blue screen appears, and follows with a crash. But the game music is on, because it is playing music, but not the game itself. help me!
4) Dolphin Works Fine On Systems With As Little As 512 MB of RAM.
5) If You Look At CPU usage when dolphin runs on a dual core, take note that if your dual core is fast enough, only 70-80% of cpu usage occurs from dolphin on peaks, and peaks at 90% on occasion.* This is only anecdotal though.
ood all u have to do is look for the file tab and then click file open then loo for the iso/rom or wat ever u call em. or just hit the tab open. hope i helped XD
when i try to emulate a game it only shows a message saying: can't create opengl renderer..." and another one saying: "the instruction at 0x7c9118d0 referenced memory at 0x00000000" amd them it shuts off. please answer this question!!!!!
I tried all versions available of Dolphin on Vista 32bit.
Nothing, it will show the video at the begining but when the game actually starts the memory cards do not. I tried to fix it like they said to fix it and nothing. Also when the game begins it only showed the text windows and not the acttually game and none of the triggers for the graphics were disabled (It just wouldn't load) I tried a couple more emulators and all crap won't even get past the video for me and nothing in the game.
every one i try to run on my computer always turns up running slower than anything, and i try configuring stuff, but nothing ever works. it goes at 22 fps for a minute, then falls to 1.2 if i'm lucky
is there a major difference between the 64x version and the 32x version? I mean, I know a little about the difference between the bit systems, but does one run dolphin faster than the other?
64 bit windows will always run 64 bit programs much faster than 32/32. I was thinking about reinstalling 64 bit WIndows 7 just to see how many more frames I could get. Otherwise, WIndows 7 just sits there unused (what a useless "solution" to Vista with a whole new set of random problems).
that's what I don't get. I understand that 64x is generally better than 32, but then again, there are things you CAN'T do with a 64x system... like I once tried playing games over at gametap, but they don't support 64x... I just don't get why, since 64x is better in the first place 0_o
Yeah games rarely show any difference, but perhaps emulators do because they rely on processors and things more. x64 for me was simply an OS that could launch multiple windows and extract files very fast with no lag, even downsize games and open a browser then go back very quickly. But lots of glitches, corrupt ram, boot fails, etc. One thing Windows 7 does is finish writing instead of locking up and corrupting your ram. But then it fails to boot after that. And locks up all the time lol.
Can someone tell me if there are any good alternatives to Dolphin? I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family and apparently all Intel Graphics cards are not supported by Dolphin
wich version of dolphin this is? it's because I've tried to download the latest one and when I'm trying to open it after I donwnload it it doesn't allow me to open :s I've tried many times but I still can do it :s
yea i hav a intel pentium dual cpu E2200 2.20 ghz with ram of 2.00GB its a vista computer with 32 bit OS is it still possible 2 run dolphin if so can you or any1 email me cuz its fustrating...
can this emulate wii or gamecube?

this emulator could work in my lap?
i have:
Dell XPS M1530
Nvidia ge force 8600m GT 256mb
Core 2 duo T5800 @ 2.0 GHZ
3 gb of RAM
Win vista premium 32 bit
GAURON123 2 years ago
should work just fine, any speed issues are related to the emulator itself =) at least with those specs.

Everything looks good for you but CPU. Really, CPU is what counts here, but everything else is wonderful.
ChazZeromus 2 years ago
I've been trying to play resident evil 3 and all I can get out of it is a crappy 15 FPS. Dolphin definitely needs time to develop.
64bit vista premium
i7core 920 OC @ 3.5 GHz
Nvidia GTX 275

Hmm, with a machine filled with success and win like yours I would expect it to run faster. I guess dolphin does need to improve.*
1) Remember newer builds are not always better.
2) Only 2 Cores Are Needed So No Need For Quads Or Octa-Cores =).
3) Dolphin Gets No Realistic Benefit in FPS From SLI or anything Above What a Crappy Baseline Direct X9 Graphics Card Can Render.
Continued->
BlkSerialKilla 2 years ago
4) Dolphin Works Fine On Systems With As Little As 512 MB of RAM.
5) If You Look At CPU usage when dolphin runs on a dual core, take note that if your dual core is fast enough, only 70-80% of cpu usage occurs from dolphin on peaks, and peaks at 90% on occasion.* This is only anecdotal though.

Hey, what do I do to load ROMS? Do you have another video on that?
Godzillafan93 2 years ago
ood all u have to do is look for the file tab and then click file open then loo for the iso/rom or wat ever u call em. or just hit the tab open. hope i helped XD
junichiroe 2 years ago
I gave up on Dolphin. My computer won't run Project 64, so I seriously doubt it will run either.
Godzillafan93 2 years ago
I don't think Dolphin can get any sort of realistic benefit from anything. I guess I'll just have to play it on a psx emulator.

how do u get it up to speed. i start it up and it is just slow.
silentdragonwarrior 2 years ago
I tried all versions available of Dolphin on Vista 32bit.
Nothing, it will show the video at the begining but when the game actually starts the memory cards do not. I tried to fix it like they said to fix it and nothing. Also when the game begins it only showed the text windows and not the acttually game and none of the triggers for the graphics were disabled (It just wouldn't load) I tried a couple more emulators and all crap won't even get past the video for me and nothing in the game.

Marelina3 2 years ago
every one i try to run on my computer always turns up running slower than anything, and i try configuring stuff, but nothing ever works. it goes at 22 fps for a minute, then falls to 1.2 if i'm lucky

"So things are very agonizing..."
"YES!"
Sorry, but hat was just excellent.
But I had NO clue that a gamecube emulator existed.

is there a major difference between the 64x version and the 32x version? I mean, I know a little about the difference between the bit systems, but does one run dolphin faster than the other?
NekoFox08 2 years ago
you mean x86 not x32, mate. I've found that the x64 version is alot better xD
rhysdigby 2 years ago
64 bit windows will always run 64 bit programs much faster than 32/32. I was thinking about reinstalling 64 bit WIndows 7 just to see how many more frames I could get. Otherwise, WIndows 7 just sits there unused (what a useless "solution" to Vista with a whole new set of random problems).
JebadiahCornbread 2 years ago
that's what I don't get. I understand that 64x is generally better than 32, but then again, there are things you CAN'T do with a 64x system... like I once tried playing games over at gametap, but they don't support 64x... I just don't get why, since 64x is better in the first place 0_o
NekoFox08 2 years ago
Yeah games rarely show any difference, but perhaps emulators do because they rely on processors and things more. x64 for me was simply an OS that could launch multiple windows and extract files very fast with no lag, even downsize games and open a browser then go back very quickly. But lots of glitches, corrupt ram, boot fails, etc. One thing Windows 7 does is finish writing instead of locking up and corrupting your ram. But then it fails to boot after that. And locks up all the time lol.

hey how come all my games on dolphin play slow

Can someone tell me if there are any good alternatives to Dolphin? I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family and apparently all Intel Graphics cards are not supported by Dolphin
giguyjoe2nd 2 years ago
Unless you bought a new graphics card (assuming your processor is fast enough) you're not gonna be able to run any of this.

go to online merchandise store like ebay or amazon if you want to be safe and buy them. If you make great deals they should come pretty cheap.
