How big is the handles on those??? I was ganna build some...are they smaller or bigger than a reg. BB??? in terms of the Dia. is what I am talking about...
yeah man, I cannot imagine what happens if he dropped them on his feets, a mighty scream to start with maybe lol. But well done for lefting all that weight
you might wanna give it a shot. the various squat and deadlift events would give you some chances to set some 1,000lb+ records and things of that nature. and what's the song in the background?
I second the motion of you giving strongman a try someday. Give yourself 6 months of event training and I don't have any doubt that you'd be in contention to get your pro card in your first year of competition, especially if you went for the 231 class and competed as a lightweight. But, you're bad-ass at powerlifting, so you gotta do what you love first! Just don't count strongman out yet, that's all we're asking :)
yeah except savickas can overhead press 480+, deadlift well over 900, etc and outweighs matt by literally 120+ pounds. matt would make a great lightweight SM, not a heavy.
You're good in strength endurance as well as maximal strength. You should give it a try. Someone has to give Savickas a little challenge on the top end strength chart.
Possibly but not likely, I really enjoy strongman but I am currently disappointed with many of the competitions as they focus more on strength endurance rather than strength. Plus I see my height (5'9") as a limiting factor.
yea, but they have weight classes so your height wouldn't be as much of a factor. you could compete at 231 and i don't think you would be at much of a disadvantage at all.
can't really get around the strength endurance aspect, but you're good at it! (40 rep squats, high rep db rows, etc)
@kroc001 Jason Bergmann is 5'9 and he's a great strongman. And muscular endurance? Isnt that what bodybuilders do? Keep the rep range between 12-15 reps (normally). You're incredibly strong and I know I'd like to see a strongman performance from you.
@spawn039 alot of the strong man event are based on lifting thins for as many reps as possible, rather than doing a max load sort of thing. many reps = strength endurance. max load = pure strength

I love how he picks them up from the floor. None of that lazy "oh I need a power rack for my shrugs" shenanigans.

Haha My mistake, Trapezius. Hows that? They are also called traps (short of trapeziums/trapezius) or coupons from where I come from.

savickas has never pressed close to 480 for one rep ever in his life and weighs 50% more than Kroc. They wouldn't even compete together. Don't BS
