  • Don't ask but I love this song lol

  • Top mate happy days

  • Roy Woods Wizard, yep, he was a wizard way before then obviously eh?

  • Back to the schooldays! These songs open up a can of memories, unbelievable!!

    Thanks mate!

  • hugely talented, even more hugely underated British band

-my favourite "Blackberry Way" which has to be in the top 30/20 top pop records

    ever?

  • carl wayne roy wood great days and memories from the 60s r.i.p. carl

  • maybe he was smoking something in the rain

  • I sang these as covers when Iwas young with seMi-pro band the Triffiks. Tango our lead singr took a break and played bas on this. saw the MOve live once too. Those days were fun!!!

  • Major talent in the raw here! The Move was considered a supergroup, and Roy Wood went on to invent the Electric Light Orchestra.

  • @regugug1 think that was Jeff Lynne?

  • @pirate072 Wood was the driving force behind ELO. Early stuff like 10538 Overture was quite heavy. When Jeff Lynne took over, the group went in a lighter, more commercial, direction, while Roy Wood started Wizzard.

  • estan muy chingonas las rolas

  • top job fella

  • I saw Roy Wood last year at the IMM 2009. He sang all three of these on a hot summer evening.....Very surreal but brilliant!!

  • Birminghams finest blue armyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • I remember "Zoot" doing a very creditable version of "Flowers in the Rain" in their early days....thanks guys!

  • HIPPIESOWSKIE CZASY!!!!!! Dziękuję

  • my first boyfriend bought me this then i had his daughter i loved him so much sadly he pastaway but it has memorys thanku

  • The video is spoilt by the large `bathsideboy `displayed - it`s not as if your the copyright holder is it ! These videos are posted elsewhere without this spoiler

  • A fair comment. My logo was intended to be a fly-in/out which I forgot to do before rendering.

  • It hardly spoils the video - it's tiny! Talk about nit-picking, anyway, I'm looking for a promo I saw as a kid for "Flowers in the Rain" where he's in some kind of asylum - hope I didn't imagine it!

  • I saw that promo too - it was a short series by Dave Lee Travis of modern videos made to old songs. Also in there was Fire by Arthur Brown, Terry by Crystal, Bend Me Shape Me by Amen Corner and quite a few others now lost in the haze of my memory! If anyone has this on tape I would love to see it on Youtube. Does anyone else remember this and other bands that were on?

  • Thanks! Now I know I didn't dream it I'll keep looking and forward you it if I find it.

  • I did a bit of digging - and found it was called The Golden Oldie Picture Show, (which I remembered when I heard it), but not been able to track down any Video/DVD copies. Pity they don't repeat things like that instead of the modern garbage they put on the box these days!

  • I remember this show too.

There was a cracking video of Manfred Mann's Ha Ha Said The Clown

  • @bathsideboy Roy was a genius but can you explain what is so good about Flowers in the Rain? Don't like the melody much but maybe the lyrics are an answer to some Beatles song and I missed something? Now Blackberry Way is damn great.

  • kilroy was here

  • just love this band , so many happy memories from my youth

  • three of the best!!from one of the BEST ever British groups, let the memories live long

  • 1967-2008 = 41 year. The Songs of Roy Wood should live for at least 400 years. Maybe then the Flowers on Blackberry Way have had their fill of rain from the Fire Brigade? Or maybe not? 3 gems. Listen to "Curly" too, one of Wood´s most beautiful and underrated songs.
