Hey I'm just starting to puzzle build but i still can't make up which kind of sanding method to use when making like a 4x4 hexagonal dipyramid or any flat sanded side puzzle mod. Should I use a dremel a belt sander or hand sanding which do you think?
@zcubert3 I've been doing puzzle moding and I have to say start out sanding by hand then use the dremel to sand away the harder parts of the plastic then go back to sanding by hand
what you call a fused cube and what i call a fused cube are very different. i just stuck 2 cubes together so you can only do F R, and U moves on them, but your version is more epic.
are you retarded.. do you know how easy it is to make a 1x1? its not photoshopped... u can make a 1x1 out of legos and paint it black.... by sanding down the legos... its not that hard..... even if it is photoshopped who cares.. he owns 1... u can even make it out of corners...
thats because the corner piece looks like that cuz you make a 1x1 from a rubiks corner piece, thus having to clip off the internal piece. which gives it a weird look.
With pretty much every mod I have done I just look at a picture of the puzzle if it has already been made and try to break it down mentally. If it is something new (like the next couple I am building) I will either try to break down the cuts and angles in my head or use some graph paper to sketch it out. The Twisty Puzzle forum has so many great builders and puzzle that there is a wealth of knowledge there as well.
Except for the Slice Cube and the Cone, they were designed by Nikola Tutic. I purchased the 3d files from him and got masters 3d printed and I made the molds and pieces from his files.
