@Nettles27 It's pretty much tasteless if you don't add any condiment. I just had some yesterday. I added brown sugar at the end of boiling and served it with milk. It's like a dessert for me. Sometimes I add white fungus to my chicken soup and I love it. If I want to get it soft, I normally bring it to a boil, then boil for another couple of hours at med heat. Otherwise the texture will be kind of rubbery.

@floraltimes Use less water and boil it for a long time. Add some water when it's drying up. I don't know if this works but I made some serum yesterday and used it in my mask this morning covering my face and lips. My lips stayed soft and plump till now (8 hours later) without any lip balm, which is unusual.

Thanks for this tutorial Queenie :) I live in Canada & can't locate the white fungus fresh. Can I replace this with dried white fungus with the same results? Also, can the serum be frozen & can essential oils, vit c or other naturals items be added for added benefits & to act as a preservative? I tried cooking the snow fungus for more than one hour and the liquid still did not become thick like in the video. Is there something I am doing wrong :(

I learnt from another video that the liquid needs to sit in the fridge in order for it to thicken, but that was teaching us how to make the dessert, not the serum. Also does anyone know what is the name of the snow fungus she recommends, I couldn't catch the name of it. Thanks!

@fishzero101 Compare with other high end serum, Fungus serum won't last long.

For people who have sensitive skin, I think preservative-free serum is the best...(it's also very cheap^^)

However , we might want to feed our skin with some other active ingredients like : Vit. C . Copper Peptide..etc...That's why i'm using some high end serum from time to time... 3 times a week :)

@BijinJikiDoll I put about 1000cc water and boiled it for over 60 mins. you can boil a little longer and the serum won't be so watery~~~~ even if it looks watery, it will be more like serum after you put in the fridge.
