00 (ark) is eartlike, 01 is desert, o2 os all ocean, 03 is volcanic, 04 is earthlike, 05 is also earthlike, 06 is a forest with no water supply, and 07 has a cloudy atmosphere but is also earthlike. thats what the halo encyclopedia said.
@WPstudios009 I have it, 07 is unknown, possibly atmospheric. Nothing else. It is also the closest to the ark, so its likely that that could be where Master Chief exited. 05 and 04 are different, its mainly temperature I think. Not sure if the temperate mixed and tropical mixed is right, but it makes sense if you compare, say, Delta Halo to The Control Room, which would make the case that its the warmer extremes for 05 and cooler extremes for 04.

Gravemind definately survived the firing of the Halo ring. Remember that the Halo's don't kill the Flood directly, instead they starve it by killing it's food source (all living creatures in the galaxy). He should be dead now though, as he would have starved.

@loompf No, Gravemind couldn't have. 04B destroyed itself, and the Ark was heavily damaged by the Halo firing sequence, as well. There should be no way out of either, and there's nothing to survive on.

The last 2 halo games have not had a single flood in them... Its so great!

@mitchr1224 Bro, the only reason we have the entire Halo series is BECAUSE of the Flood. If it weren't for the Flood, there wouldn't be the Halos, and there wouldn't be the Covenant as it is now, and there wouldn't be a massive war going on.
Plus, the Flood is a pretty interesting enemy. We could have the possibility of Human rebels, or even older enemies (Humans were a competitor with the Forerunner and had a war long before the events of Halo, but lost and were set back to the stone age).

They were the Forerunner's Forerunners, s thats how the Forerunner gained their technology from repurposing their relics and inventing new things from it. They are msot definitely extinct, however, the forerunner are likely not. They disappeared from the galaxy completely after reseeding life from the ark after they fired the halo array, they could be alive or they might not. Your guess is as good as mine.

@violet1197 7 is the ring closest to the ark, and 1 is the farthest. Each ring has a specific biome, excepting 04, which is a mixture of many, 05, which is the same (except significantly more jungle), and 07, which is unknown. All the other rings, when playing the end of The Covenant, have detailed surfaces. All you can see on 07 is a swirly substance, most likely clouds. What I think is that 07 is a gas giant-like ring, whereas the others were water, desert, jungle and such.
@mitchr1224 I think one of them looks like the entire freaking fing is infested with the Flood. After all of the enemies were killed, I took a closer, detailed inspection. It sure enough looked like the Flood took over the ring.

It wasn't the entire covenant that got destroyed. There's still all the ones on their respective homeworlds- I'm betting there's at least enough Covies to put up a fight.

The last 2 halo games have not had a single flood in them... Its so great!
Except one thing i just realized... in halo 4, Master Chief will have defeated the covenant... Which means the only possible threat left... is... the floo- Oh, hell.

@mitchr1224 Bro, the only reason we have the entire Halo series is BECAUSE of the Flood. If it weren't for the Flood, there wouldn't be the Halos, and there wouldn't be the Covenant as it is now, and there wouldn't be a massive war going on.
Plus, the Flood is a pretty interesting enemy. We could have the possibility of Human rebels, or even older enemies (Humans were a competitor with the Forerunner and had a war long before the events of Halo, but lost and were set back to the stone age).

@omgshesdead Good that Im not the only person who knows about the precursors. They were the Forerunner's Forerunners, s thats how the Forerunner gained their technology from repurposing their relics and inventing new things from it. They are msot definitely extinct, however, the forerunner are likely not. They disappeared from the galaxy completely after reseeding life from the ark after they fired the halo array, they could be alive or they might not. Your guess is as good as mine.

@violet1197 7 is the ring closest to the ark, and 1 is the farthest. Each ring has a specific biome, excepting 04, which is a mixture of many, 05, which is the same (except significantly more jungle), and 07, which is unknown. All the other rings, when playing the end of The Covenant, have detailed surfaces. All you can see on 07 is a swirly substance, most likely clouds. What I think is that 07 is a gas giant-like ring, whereas the others were water, desert, jungle and such.
And Bungie likes 7.

@mitchr1224 I think one of them looks like the entire freaking fing is infested with the Flood. After all of the enemies were killed, I took a closer, detailed inspection. It sure enough looked like the Flood took over the ring.

@Manguypersonthing1 Nope. 03 is the volcanic one. 01 is desert, 02 is oceanic. Im assuming 07 is gaseous.
Oh, and for the rings i didnt cover, 04 is temperate mixed biomes. 05 is more tropical mixed biomes, mainly jungle and rainforest. 06 is jungle.

@mitchr1224 But the flood are the most fun to fight. Especially in Halo Combat Evolved, which will also have flood in it btw. Aswell as a flood firefight for flood fans like me hopefully.

@Suprememessage CE Anniversary has rumors of a flood firefight, nothing confirmed. I made that comment before Halo 4 was confirmed at E3, before either trailer. The flood are good to fight if you have good weapons, but if th eentire area is soaking in them (Cortana, Halo 3) then it scares me. A lot.
