my 1963 stock plyouth belvedere does okay in corners, but it also runs mid 11's and 0-6 in 4.8 secs completely stock. it is also safer than ANY import, looks better and has more sexi-ness than any import ever could...ever. and i only paid 3,900 for it and it runs like brand new, only broken down on me once in 3 years. find me an import that can beat my car in EVERY ONE of those areas totally stock and for less than 3,900. can't be done.
I guess that you are biased because u own an american car yourself, but do give the imports a try and u may be suprised. But i am suprised such an old car still runs so well..
i actually owned one of those early 90's galant vr4's with turbo and awd. i upgraded the turbo and intercooler, installed evo 9 injectors, a boost controller and other things and it was alright for a while, i just wasn't happy with it, i sold it and for my '63. so i gave them a chance once. i don't take it into the redline, i never come across a race where a need to and i don't play stupid with it. it's ugly but im nice to it anyways. it just keeps running and running lol

the stock rods are good to 500-600 horsepower. these cars made 400 whp on 19 pounds of boost with 110 octane.
