(Xbox) Since the counter elbow assult commands are left arrow on dpad (to step back) and X and A simotainoiusly, shouldnt the qte have been those commands instead of right arrow on dpad

I don't think it's as simple. Does Lan Di really want the Phoenix mirror? Maybe they are dangerous when combined and each one is powerful in his own right - he might want nothing to do with the phoenix mirror.

the dreamcast version is much better than the xbox. I hate the english talk in the xbox version. The dreamcast with the japanese is much, much better !

Reminds me of how i fight that Dou Niu as well! Always try and dodge till I get behind him and then i kick or punch the shit out of him! That is the only work to beat him in the free battle but i remembered i failed the command QTE like 3 times! Was trying to beat him for an hour till i finally got it right!

I always get goosebumps when I see Lan Di appear on the helicopter. The way he suddenly appears and the way they look at each other with the music in the background after the fight is so epic.

This fight is really hard though, I remember trying it again and again and my hand really hurt once I defeated him. But when Ryo finishes him off with the Counter Elbow Assault, it's really epic.

At this point in the story, Lan Di is not even aware of the existence of the phoenix mirror.

NOTE: Shenmue bad ending in the summer when Lan Di returns to the Dojo and says 'he heard there was another mirror'. I reckon Zhu tells him about it because Ryo wouldn't have been there to save him!

The first time I played this, I thought it would be fine to lose since I thought Xiuying would come in like she usually does when Ryo's losing and just sort Dou Niu out easily, but I was extremely surprised when it didn't happen.

I hated the pause QTE on this part, i messedup and had to retry from the beggining of the fight. I hate the pause QTE overall they happen too quickly and you end up guessing on the first try.
