  • that was the crappiest burpee form i have ever seen.

  • That's the reason why I don't drink beer because it's bad for you if you want to stay in shape. That's what I hate when people drink beer or soda after they workout they should be drinking water. If you are wanting to get in shape.

  • @Setheru87 two-ton tony galentino, a unbeatable turn of the century boxer, trained on beer and spaghetti. also beer cannot make u fat... its the greasy food you crave while drinking beer that causes the beer belly

  • what do you think you do badass you call THAT sport of mma you fool you must do it like bas rutten not like a gecko !!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, impressive for someone of any age

  • WATCH OUT FOR THIS OLD MAN MEN!!!!!!!!

I THINK HE'S A POLICE MAN OR IN A SPECIAL FORCE OR SOMETHING BECAUSE OTHERWISE IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A SHAPE LIKE THIS ON THIS AGE!!!!!!!!!?????

  • is there anywhere you can download this cd?

  • Try the all round mma cd i actually finished the whole 7 rounds missing only a couple of cues and next day i was a cripple but the day after that I became superman

  • I'd say all that work was worthy of a beer.

  • how do you like this? any results?

  • well done man!!

  • Damn! You are in good shape!

  • Nicely done! You can see the dedication!

    Love it!!

  • He would do this for beer?

Wonder what he'd do for sex?

  • Beer has actually been proven to be as effective as Gatorade given that it has protein and carbs. U idiots need to google it. Or go to mens health.

  • @JLSealy2 Alcohol is a diuretic, so a simple electrolyte mix is preferable over a beer, if you havent worked out drink water

I save beer for special occasions like parties with friends once or twice a month if at all

  • Actually a protein shake would be a much better reward for your body and mind...

  • is this done daily or three times a week?

  • Nice work! I just did the all-around Bas workout today...great stuff eh?

  • wow. that looks hell painful

  • Nice man. This stuff sure gets u in shape. Been doin it for a few years now. Good stuff.

  • 76 people refer mma as ultimate fighting?

  • That dark damp basement is missing a Sybian Machine

"oh SHIT... oww, I've fallen , and I can't get up..."

  • Great workout! Keep your hands up (easier said than done, I know.)

  • That workout really is hell. We usually do it as a warmup at my MMA place, and after you're done, you know that the worst part of training is over.

  • I'm hoping he follows through with the knees. :) Either way, still kick my ass.

  • very strong man :)

  • lol old man got some moves :D

  • Bas rutten is my idle

  • @pwnagexing idol not idle u idiot xD

  • RE Tard to tard again you have 270k views cause you named dropped

  • good job just stick to it

  • alcohol free beer is really good actually after a workout such as milk !!!

  • Outstanding push there sir

  • Why would you drink a beer after working out. Do you hate yourself?

  • This is an awesome workout, i use it twice a week and it kills! lol! great work mate keep it going!

  • that looks like a killer workout

  • awesome.

bas is the man. hilarious too lol

  • dont drink beer after it you stupid fuck!

  • @klarkratu beer does give you protein which is exactly what he needs to recover if he also drinks water would be perfect.

  • NICE! THATS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE TO GET OFF MY ASS AND WORKOUT TODAY...AND BAS IS THE MAN!

  • Respect !

  • I bet that beer tasted nice!

  • is this your dad? lol badass videotape

  • ur a tank

  • well done mate, well done...

  • bas rutten is a legend in pride

  • why even drink that beer ... quit it and you'll look even better

  • I just did this exact workout, and it kicked my ass badly. Had 16oz gloves on the whole time. It sucked. No less than about 10 sets of continual push-ups of 30 seconds duration. After the first 6 sets I was doing them like a girl with my knees on the ground.

  • According to your YouTube profile, you're 43. Amazing shape you're in, especially at your age.

  • Nice work

  • KEEP IT UP, you ought to tryout for THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER.

  • Respect..Its a hard workout I know...Keep it up..

  • Good bas rutten trainning... but watch out for heart attacks man! Take it easy. Bas rutten was young when he did this. Anyway, great workout!!

  • @chispygato cardio is good 4 the heart ;)

  • I'm not an expert on this but doesn't beer affect body building?

I'm confused I was always told this and never drink anymore.

  • Very good, man! Don't stop training!

  • how many beers are we talking here and how often do you do the workouts and drink? interesting to know actually..

  • Got your beer I see.

  • @gkdrummerboy

    xDDDD

  • i stopped at 20 and im 14 hahaha

  • yo much respect..........bas is the greatest mma teacher and fighter in my book.. keep up the good work

  • does he have a dvd out yet? would prefer ir over audio

  • lol... do the thai boxing routine on the heavy bag..

  • respect!!!

  • Fucking thight body for a dude with grey hair much respect to you! ;)

  • Holy crap... dude... you're killing it!

  • wow much respect for keeping up with bas

  • respect from austria!!

  • Wow....

  • this workout really does work, don't knock it until you try it, bas has a perfect routine

  • damn!! old man would fuck some shit up!!!

  • @xRelentlessx1 If you look at his profile, it says Age: 43... so he would be even younger than Bas.

  • yo, can you reply how you would do this if you workout. cuz this looks like real good cardio, but it also looks like it would work your muscles. and if your working the same muscle group twice, it can be detrimental to your body. so should you just do this everyday or what. HEEEELLLLLP

  • This type of training is a full body workout. If you are training to fight it is okay to do this on multiple days.

If you are training for muscle size as a body builder would, this type of training should be used less often.

  • no shit sherlock!

  • Lol, I do the exact same workout, with the exact same reward. :)

  • I just do the reward... maybe thats why I'm 30kg overweight... meh beer goggles will make me look hot in the mirror.

  • amen bro.. amen

  • I have this bas ruten workout. its tough. real good effort mate.

  • Hooks need some more work. And I think Bas expects the listener to jump higher during the "jumping with knees to your chest" exercise. Also the mountain climber exercise or the plank run, is more like running, not just bringing the knees to your chest. Anyway, as long as this guy is doing his best, that's what counts. Good work!

  • If you're into circuit training and want to really push yourself until your tank's empty, it's a good workout. I recommend some hydration halfway through the workout.

  • This is hilarious...HAHAHAH

  • It's good for training for fights.... endurance... stamina, using all different parts of your body constantly... just like you would for 5 mins at a time during MMA fights.

  • im not saying this is bad, but what exactly is it good for ? when u are endured enough to jog for an hour (in a quicker pace) and do all sorts of sit ups and push ups seperatly, im not sure if u still need this exercise

  • It's good for breaking up the 'usual' routine. The workout has you doing push-ups, abs, jumping squats, sprawls, punches and knees, neck exercising etc for 30 seconds each for 29 minutes, with barely any breaks. It's different kind of fatigue from running and doing separate exercises, because for 30 minutes you are getting up, exercising, lying down, exercising. It breaks your pattern of breathing... assuming you're giving your 100% in all the workout and not cheating.

  • great work man

  • Is the sprawl the exercise in the first 5 seconds of the vid?

  • burpies

  • What's the sprawl exercise then mate?

  • They are often called "up-downs" or "burpies" where I am from.

  • Thanks man.

  • Bas his workouts are excelent, but this man spends way too much energy trying to keep balance. Build up, not do all moves at first :D

  • hahahaha 2:15 xd

  • nice vid man, i got the same mp3's, but you preform the excersise at 1:14 wrong it should be one motion..your legs in 1 count ritme and your head in a half count ritme...

  • this guys gotta be over 40.. but looks damn good

  • This guy is great. Today was my first day on the cd's! Man, do i have a long way to go before i get to the all around, but i'm inspired.

  • Hi mate, I one the all round workout from the off. The first time I did it, it was hard work as I hadn't been keeping myself fit. It took me until the 3rd all round workout to be able to go through it all without stopping for a little breather.

I have a question: When he says "sprawl"...what exercise is that? I understand what it is in terms of MMA but when doing it by yourself...I can't work it out!

Great vid by the way. Clive is super fit!

  • It's not an exercise per se. It is exactly what it is in mma terms. I would compare it mostly to a squat thrust or something

  • looking great man you should be very proud - I think i am gonna break out these cds to train for my nexst fight

  • Just finished the all around workout myself today for the first time today. Felt like puking after : D This man is an inspiration to conquer the workout in the future!

  • good job man

  • enjoy that beer my friend, you earned it!!. good job.

  • Old man you wouldn't wanna mess with.

  • Dude is in pretty good shape for an old guy.

  • guy needs to spend less energy stabilizing his body so he can do more reps.

  • bas rutten = hard as a nail. so respects for trying to keep up!

  • faggot

  • damn i need to get those cds. looks awesome.

  • That workout's a bitch! Cheers brother! *cracks a beer*

  • Comment removed

  • neck warming up

  • whOO the FUCK is THAt?????? AINT BAS!!!!!

  • you're a retard.

  • blindmellonchittlen bas rutten wasnt there its was a tape dickweed

  • this guy cant fucking do a pushup

  • come on,, show some respect,, people in his couldn't even move!! at least he is willing to excise!!

  • im just saying he realy cant do a pushup and he should use proper form if my last comment stated that disrespectfully then ok ill take it down but still he needs to learn a pushup

  • man i have those cds you wont even last 10 min

  • um what dose that have to do with pushups??? but yea im not saying the cd is bad im just saying this person needs to work on pushups. o and i wouldn't last ten minits in what? just so i know what your talking about?(doing the stuff on the cd or, in a fight or what would i not last ten minits in?)

  • I think it would be hard for anyone to do a few good push-ups after an intense workout. No matter their fitness level. If a routine pushes you to a good point of exhaustion then the last few exercises of that routine should be tough to complete.

  • well ok thats fine i just have a hard time simpithising with something like not being able to do pushups after a realy hard workout because i can do pushups after a realy hard workout

  • you dont know what your talking about. be quiet.

  • i know more then you do about working out.

  • Your absolute ignorance I've seen in these comments shows me you don't do shit. I bet you get tapped out all the time and go home mad. Your fucking ridiculous to say this guy needs to learn how to do a push up. You probably go to Golds Gym and work out so stfu.

  • in the cds there really hard

oh and i was just sayin

  • touch ups are a bitch aye haha

    nice work ya rig

  • I wonder how many guys in the world this age could actually do this workout. Not many. Great inspiration. I wonder why Bas was giving orders and not doing it himself.

  • noob, rofl!

  • Me parece penoso usar de título el nombre de Bas Rutten para que la gente vea tú penoso vídeo, eso no está bien...

  • oh my god what a freak :D

    its like american beauty :D

    hahahaha idiot detected

  • bas rutten??????????

  • Bas Rutten is a MMA hall of famer!! =D

  • lol, thanks man, i knew that much... it was something more like, the title kinda suggests the vid shows bas' training, but it doesnt... lol... it's some other dude...

  • the beer must have tastet great after that

  • we have this at my house, i was thinking about trying it out...you motivated me to do it...thanks my man...keep up the good work

  • haha, 1:03 u missed the uppercut on 4 :P

  • awesome- dudes in good shape

  • nice, very nice! I hope I'll be fit when I am as old as whatever age you are! keep it up.

  • i hope i can be as fit as this guy while im still in my 20's hahaha

  • Good job!

  • very good

  • Get hooked on phonics before you post comments dipshit. Where's your workout vid?

  • I bet this old man would knock you out easily.

  • ahahaha, thats ironic coz ur the 'fucking loser' that watched an old man do more activity than your fat ass does in 7 months...

  • Extremely enthusiastic, but a bit of a poser (looking at the camera is not part of a workout).

It is bad to lift weights if you have bad form (lifting with your back. You should have your back, neck and head straight up in a line. The only thing that should move when you do a bicep curl is your forearm. your elbows should be locked at hip length, you shouldn't lift the weight with your back).

The reward should be water instead of beer, alcohol is a diuretic. Rehydrate, eat.

    I am unfit.

  • where can i download that workout tape?

  • You can buy it. Support Bas. He must be very poor guy.

  • You're so smart. Have you ever heard of irony?

  • Irony?? Bas make more Irony than you make in lifetime...just joking dude. lol

  • hi, did you get the workout tape and wher??

  • Good work dude, reminds me of my old training days, was funny my MMA coach just warmed us up with the bas routine, 1-2-3-4 KNEE!

  • Your super motivated. Which is cool.

  • Not bad, keep it up!

  • Great effort! BTW, do you take any martial art, or you just an MMA aficionado? I ask because usually the guys who gets these kind of workouts are martial artists/fighters or simply MA or MMA aficionados. Either way, job well done.

  • great man, you're in good shape. Just don't make that beer thing a habit ^^

  • is he drunk lol

  • ur that tired after 2 mins 25 seconds u shud try doing half an hour lol

  • vodka from grapes aint bad to get you fucked up when yo are training

  • my kinda routine!! Reward?!?! hell yea!! well just say the alcohol assist in fat burning O_o

  • well 1 beer isnt neccesarily bad. its not even alot of alcohol. its basically almst like a pasta with a wine reduction sauce.

and i guess if you eat rite along with a potein shake to chase the beer it sounds alrite i guess lol

  • I didn't know that they made a beer recovery drink:) How does this compare to plyometrics for those of you who've tried both? I like the fact that its only 29 minutes.......I think I'll have to give it a go

  • you are in good shape

  • They say its good for you to have a beer after a hard workout. But only 1

  • yeah I've heard that too, its true.

  • why would you do all this and the have a beer...

  • why wouldn't you? lol

  • cause your working out to be strong and fight you dont have a beer afterwords

  • it's his body what do you care besides if your working out to keep in shape and not to lose weight why not have a beer after an intense training?

  • umm I'm pretty sure not everybody who goes to a gym or does these "at home exercises" have it in thier heads that "now I know how to fight" mentality and a beer s mighty rewarding! = )

I have a nice tall boy after almost every wrkout I have and I'm still in hella fine shape.

  • Great job Clive! Keep it up man!

I have been doing the P90X workout, and this looks interesting as well. I'll look up this Bas workout for sure.
