Life isn't so black and white though. The reality is that there are probably many people in between those two stereotypes, they aint exactly a gentleman but by no means can you label them a thug. It'd be interesting to see how people react to these characters in everyday situations (e.g: applying for a job with the same resumé etc.) Tho' it's likely the thug will get some negative attitude just for being an ass!

There is,sadly,a perception here in England that if a black man makes every effort to 'improve his status' then he has sold out his 'brothers'! There is still a strong stereotype of the 'young, disaffected/displaced black man'.But quite often,the problem arises from within.Kids are having kids,the dad disappears & society picks up the bill.It is prevalent in young black men in the UK.I wonder at the purpose of this,(well presented),video.Will it help break down stereotypes?!
