First off you need some facts. If you were to look at the stats (and numbers don't lie), then you would see the Gordon DESERVES to be a 6 time champion. He has been robbed by the chase twice now.
To prove the chase is the biggest BS ever, look at the 95% of the point standings during the chase. Did you know that MOST of the championship finishes would had been closer without the chase? yes people have gone back and re calculated the points and all that.
Recalculating the points for the old system is an absolutely ridiculous argument because some teams run conservative in the summer to make sure they get in the chase. If there were no chase, the 48 team would be strong all year and they'd probably crush 2nd place by over 500 points.
Which you just prooved my point. The chase is the most stupid thing. NASCAR said they wanted to add more for winning. They did the opposite. They are letting guys actually go out and just ride around until the chase starts. Did Gordon do that in his dominant season in 2007? No. He dominated. All the times he SHOULD have and the times that he has won the championship he has just dominated the seasons with wins, top 5, and top 10s.

I don't ever recall Jeffy dumping Rusty into the wall. Maybe moving him out of the way because he was clearly faster (Bristol). No one could stop Jeff in '98, he won 13 times that season. They went on to win 5 of the next 10 races after that. I guess that was his lack of driving talent that won all those races. Someday your going to have to face reality that Jeff is the best driver on the circuit and possibly of all time; his records speak for itself.

Johnson) and more will follow in the years to come. To play your game, Rich Petty 200 Wins, 10 wins in a row, won 27 races in a year, 7 Championships!
