Number 4 is not a joke infact the towel trick has helped me through the e74 and e75 aswell as two red rings and my xbox is still alive but people say it can damage the hard drive if u do it ...... Duh take everything out even hard drive :)

i was playing gta on the xbox for about 2 hours then i got 2 red lights, i left it for an hour and a half then went on again 30 mins later it got 2 red lights again so i left it overnight turned it on and there is no display or sound the tv screen is just blank.

this only works for a bit, after a while, after multiple uses, the fixed effect will only last for like 5 to 10 minutes, then it'll revert back to it's crappy self.

ok people please stop doing the towel trick; it makes it worse; because you are damaging the internal mother board and components;

its really an easy fix; look in the yellow pages for a xbox repair man in your area. he will fix the issue and possibly add an additional fan for a cheap nominal fee; or send it to xbox if it is still insured. but please dont do the towel trick anymore.
