Zeke ain't Magic, but for his size, he's the best all around PG I've seen other than Magic. Scoring, defense, ball handling, leadership, toughness-- You name it, Isiah had it down cold.
@jeffnfoxylady1 The only problem with that is that MJ probably vetoed his inclusion after Zeke and his boy walked off the court in the 91' playoffs before the game was over. It probably brought back bad memories for Jordan of the All-Star "Freeze Out" game. And at that point you KNOW the Olympic selection committee wanted Jordan on that team way more than Isiah.
I'm not taking anything from Isiah as a player or w.e else. But he did NOT jump as high as it appears in this film. Sorry. The shot was taken from a very low level, thus making the angle an incorrect view of the actual jump. He jumped faster... and smarter than that dude. That was Perdue from the Bulls. Lol. They never had a really good center if you will. And I'm a Bulls fan. lol But it's the truth. He definitely jumped high on that one. But I guarranfuckingteeya that he didn't jump that high.
@bund94 Isiah was a much better GM than Knick fans want to admit. David Lee with the 30th pick, Ariza with the 44th pick, Wilson Chandler with the 23rd pick, dealing Steve Francis for Zach Randolph, leaving enough money to sign Amare. Little doubt that Isiah picked Danilo as well. Knicks fans aren't very bright and are waaaay too impatient. Look at the absolute puke Isiah inherited.
did he push off in the first? he must've got a lift, or then his hops are very very underrated. he could be like tfb if he can really do that without help.
that jump ball with the angle it's at makes him look like he can jump waaaaaaay higher than he can. that's of strait vert, and it makes it look like he's hitting his head on the rim. at 5'11", that would mean a 49" STANDING vert. Dwight can't even do that off strait vert, and he's a foot taller
@jingeshan24 dwight jumps higher then lebron.. not white.. but the thing that makes Dwight special is that its a 7 footer jumoing that high, which is rare
@lilticklez nobody hates anyone here... we're talking facts here and for some reason your brain is not able to absorb them properly. you're letting yourself submit to your subjectivity.
9 - Rajon Rondo (tough, amazing wingspan, triple double machine, quick, gonna be an all star next season. People say hes a dirty player but i think people need to harden up)
10 - Nate Archibald
1839 - Allen Iverson lol
Honourable Mention - Derrick Rose, Gary Payton, Walt Frazier, Bob cousy (but not really if he was playing today)
yea i would but his stats dont back it up, you have to remember this list is really strong gary payton would be ion the top15 probably but i dont think hes a top 10 but i guess its a matter of opinion
About Bob Cousy, he was really the prototype for the PG position. Plus the guy was the NBA's assist leader and was a top 5 scorer for all but a couple seasons of his career. The guy really did dominate his era. He deserves a bit more love on your list.
yea i thought about it and i guess he got a bit of a bad break but i dont rate guys in that era as much as other people would. The defense was average at best and the athletes dont even compare to todays athletes. If bob cousy was in his prime today he would not be a star he would be your joe blogs PG in the nba or even europe. Sorry thats just how i feel but he was a great player in his time
lmao how do u have the glove out of top 10...paul and dwill havent done shit to warrant top 10. 1. magic 2. oscar 3. stockton 4. payton 5. nash 6. iverson 7. kidd 8. cousy 9. archibald 10. frazier your list is more like "PGs with most potential of all time"
@sandiegosuperbowl they have and the reason the glove isnt their is because hes not good enough to be in the top 10. Your list is wack but whatever its your opinion
@sandiegosuperbowl ok so what has the glove done besides play a minor role in the heat in 06? what has stockton done? and what the fuck has Walt Frazier done i mean that guy is super overrated. His best achievement is all star game mvp i mean come on. Cousy couldnt even make a nba lineup if he played today. The numbers CP@ and deron are posting puts them leaps and bounds above your guys
he didnt dunk much.but from the ballers i knew that played @st cecilia wit him cwebb n magic they said zeke used 2 dunk his ass off n that 2 handed dunk @the garden is sick n the 1 hand jam on fred roberts is 2 funny.he had mad hops n the dunk on parish,to show u his hops parish shoved him back n he was still n the air.isiah should have been mvp out of 12-yrs he played theres no way but it was jordans league then. n they were dickriding him all the way.i been @the silverdome n he torched paxson
screw all the 6ft pg. Isiah is the messiah and the ffffiiinn PG besides Magic!! CP3, Nash, DWill cant even hold Isiah jock strap. Isiah is tougher, smarter, MVP and Championship!!
Zeke...one of the underrated players of all time. Top 20 all time. Mad hops, super quick, incredibly clutch...at his peak, he was up there with the best PGs that have ever set foot on a court. Mad props Isiah.
ziki had mad hops. Its so hard to believe that he never won a reg season MVP. Hard to imagine that an amateur like Steve Nash can win back-to-back reg season MVPs. It was truly a curse for Drexlar, Isiah, Stockton, 'Nique to be playing in a same golden era that featured 3 Greatest Of All Times that were winning MVPs over them.
He might have won if not for his demeanor. Don't forget all of the bad things he said and did back then. Like when he said if Bird was black he would be just another good player
I'm sure it was NOT Ziki who said that. That was RODMAN's hatred towards BIRD having sour grapes against Mighty Celtics knocking Pistons out of playoffs yr after yr. AFAIK, Ziki was only jealous of MJ. thats all.
"I think Larry is a very, very good basketball player. He's an exceptional talent," added Detroit's Isiah Thomas. "But I have to agree with Rodman. If he were black, he'd be just another good guy."
and nique is definitely not complete enough to win mvp. drexler and stockton are all missing something. but you are right, maybe because it was jordan that our expectation were getting so high.
when kobe got the mvp last year.. i really didnt( still dont) think he deserves it.
at least, when marlone and barkley were getting theirs, they were very efficient players that really blended in with the rest of the teams.
but to say nash is an amateur is a bit harsh. he played good basketball during those season. he did make his team better in the reg season. and i think he deserved it a lot more than lets say kobe and the rest for those two season.
and it is sad that the nba is really watered down.
Huh? I never said Nash is an amateur. You got the wrong dude guy. nash is a great PG, no doubt, I have nothing but love for him. But the truth is, the seasons other players had when Nash won mvp are nothing like the seasons that all time greats had during Zeke's prime. Peace.

that jump on the start, is the most unbelieveable move i have ever seen, he jumped so high , it looks like a sceen from a holywood film.
RanKarat 1 year ago
Different styles, people are only comparing the two because iverson and thomas are short.
Thomas is a well rounded PG =who can lead a team Or score if he has to
Stockton is a Classical PG= Focus is leading the team, getting scorers opportunities, stealing balls
Iverson Is primarily a Scoring Pg= who makes plays through his scoring threat.
all three are skilled at all aspects but their styles lean in certain directions,
who i would take depends on the other players i had

@lilticklez dwight doesn't jump higher than lebron. lebron's athletisicm is comparable to jordan's.
lebron can get his head over the rim much higher than dwight can, and dwight is 4 inches taller.
