god bless ALL soldiers of the world, for their sacrifices, & to their families...but, god blast the so-called "leaders" of our governments who take us into wars where we need naught be, due to fear and propaganda. let the will of the people prevail, not greed, ego & lust for power from our leaders--the will of the people shall prevail, one day. don't call me unpatriotic. i am very patriotic, to my world. one day, war shall be outlawed, abolished, & our soldiers will become ambassadors of peace~
@sylvette323b.....ohhh very yes lass, you may post away to your heart's content, god bless and let peace prevail and unity for the planet be a dream that is one day realized:)
@sylvette323b...you are so very welcome, 'tis my honour to speak to someone who holds things so dear....'twas the picture of the wee baby that made my heart go into my soul, such beauty & innocence, the young ones never knowing the pain of loss 'til later. xoxo...keep peace in thine heart, 'tis the only way for a new tomorrow, and hope that all will return to their families and the ones they love, or make it up to the almighty~
@sylvette323b ...p.s. your vid literally made me weep, with pain and joy, for all the unnecessary loss, in the name of "democracy" & amidst the horror of war and those who take us there, and for the brave who give the ultimate....thank you for the beauty of the vid, and of course, for the depth of passion in gary puckett's voice, he is unmatched in what he conveys thru his soul....
this girl is a woman now, that is truth...jillyhawk~
My father served in the Navy for 36 years. He was in every war except WWI. He did it for one reason, to preserve Freedom for his family as well as others. God rest his soul, if he could see the mess our Country is in right now, I just cannot imagine. THANK YOU TO ALL THE TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILES FOR "ALL" OF THE SACRIFICES THEY HAVE HAD TO ENDURE AND ARE STILL COPING WITH. "KNOW FOR SURE, ALL THAT HAVE PERISHED ARE TRULY IN A BETTER PLACE, MISSED AND LOVED, THEY ARE "HOME!"
This may have been from the Vietnam era, but it still has meaning for so many of us who have been to Iraq and Afghanistan (and other hot spots) today.
It has been my honor to have worked with Gary on a couple of shows through the years. Truly one of the nicest people I have ever met and this one of the best songs in tribute to our service men and women. Thanks for posting!
Good job of mixing the pics to the music. I'm a war vet, and this version really hit me - too many won't be coming home. This should be played during Veteran's Day or Memorial Day events. Thanks for the tribute!
from rob in aussie love this went out and bought the cd with this on it god bless all our troops and keep yourselves safe.
