There's no way the quran means it any other way, if aisha was a mother of the believers "a role model or guide or someone to idolise like lady Fatima a.s then this other verse would not have been revealed about her where she is being warned for scheming against the prophet. Just like us the Sahaba's (ra) in thier pre-islam time were mis-guided therefore sinned alot, but allah guided them & forgave them! This was not "PRE ISLAM" these were MUSLIMS. How can you love such a man? Did u know that many people at the time of our Prophet (saw) tried to kill him, and many ppl slandered Allah & his messenger until Allah (swt) guided many of them to the right path & he forgave them & our Prophet loved them because they have come to The deen & helped islam. Its funny in reality people always say "family first", "id kill for my mother/sister/brother", "blood thicker than water" ... somehow this concept doesn't apply to the Prophet (pbuh) and what happened to his Grandson or Daughter (as)

If I'm right and Shia are disbelievers, then my source was right. She actually translated Arabic and found out some interesting tidbits from the war with Iraq. Sunnis and Shias are at war with each other because either side declares their prophet is better than the other and will get offended, off anyone of the other faction, and continue in that manner. Sectarian violence as it is, no one should die over a prophet!
