I spent about a year living in different areas of Post Addition. I am a white boy and would routinely walk my dog often with my roomate and his mini pinn between the hours of 10pm - 3am and not once did I have any trouble. Not like a had a huge mean dog, I just walked like I lived there, hell 85% of that neighborhood are drug dealers/users, so naturally I knew 75% of the ppl there hahhaha. But yeah if you don't know the ppl, it's a shitty idea to go strollin through for no reason.

My memories of BC (in 1981): Getting into a fight at a dive bar and getting kicked out. I spent a grand total of 3 hours of my life in that city and it was more than enough!

I don't live in Post Addition, I'm on the northside because I love love all of the old houses. Anyway, within a couple of weeks I plan to put up "Cool City Battle Creek II. " Hope it's as well received as this one. I love the comments. I went to Marshall's home tour this Sept. and was pleasantly surprised by all the clean homes and normal people. It was nice to get out of the Crack for awhile.

You should've shown more of the historical things in Battle Creek and other things like The McCamly plaza,Kellogg Arena,Cereal City U.S.A. Seeing all this crap on the Internet makes me ashamed of living where I do and that isn't a good thing .I was born and raised here, I mainly live in Lakeview where there's a bunch of stuck up kids and so on, but this video isn't helping anymore. >_<

Everyone should leave BC, except for the low lifes....I grew up in the north part and after hanging in the bads part enough and traveling to many parts of the country I've realized that Battle Creek is a town that every state has, or every state has a few B.C.s The town makes me cringe for real. I'm in Cali now and I realize how lucky I was to get out. I moved to Ann Arbor b4 Cali, but BC was sapping my life. Most people who have left say the same: get out while you can b4 it gets worse!

I grew up in B.C. I graduated in B.C. I left for college in the early 90s. I have been back twice & this just reminds me why I never want to return. It could be the worst "city" in America. It is a run down, dumpy ass town. I did laugh my ass off though. If you aren't from B.C., I suggest you never go. It is nothing but scumbags, "gangsters" and crackheads. Good riddance Battle Crap. I spent about a year living in different areas of Post Addition. I am a white boy and would routinely walk my dog often with my roomate and his mini pinn between the hours of 10pm - 3am and not once did I have any trouble. Not like a had a huge mean dog, I just walked like I lived there, hell 85% of that neighborhood are drug dealers/users, so naturally I knew 75% of the ppl there hahhaha. But yeah if you don't know the ppl, it's a shitty idea to go strollin through for no reason.

You know, here in southern SC, Beaufort Co., you'd think it would be worse than anywhere in Mi. I beg to differ. The oldest homes are, yes, trailers, but at least they aren't 100 year old shitholes. Actually, in this area, the average home value (Beaufort co.) is over 250,000 buckaroos. Plus, we are just north of Savannah, Ga. We'all's jus' lovin' it, y'all. How would you like to live in Climax, and when anyone there does shopping or needs a phone or electronic thing, car, GAS, or anything else, they have to drive 10 miles to battle creek to get it, and its reffered to the townsfolk of CLimax as "heading into town"? I have to be in b.c just to write this comment! I have dial up at my house!!!!! Harper the same. Go to Grand Rapids, you'll find several Lakeviews. BC has by percentage many poor. Opportunities non-existent. Yes there are worse places. Detroit city, B.Harbor, Gary, Rockford Ilionois, but you gotta admit, BC has an "attitude." and that ain't good.

O_o...... ok, but the same day another 18 year old kid asked for a dollar to buy chips, I said no, and he said "I'm coming after you!!" then I told him to go home, and he just rode up the hill next to Capital and the little Clark station to his house.

Best way to see BC is to have lived elsewhere. Battle Creek is a depressing place. Live in GR, the burbs around Detroit, Lansing, then get back with me. I now live in South (By God) Carolina. Y'all have a good time. Personally, I got tired of the cops, the ambulances, the ho's, the drugs.

I used to live there and thank God I moved. Been away from there for 13 years now, and it looks pretty much the same as when I left there. Michigan has the worst roads, no jobs, and they have no idea how to run things upp there. They need to redo the whole town!

I don't live in Post Addition, I'm on the northside because I love love all of the old houses. Anyway, within a couple of weeks I plan to put up "Cool City Battle Creek II. " Hope it's as well received as this one. I love the comments. I went to Marshall's home tour this Sept. and was pleasantly surprised by all the clean homes and normal people. It was nice to get out of the Crack for awhile.

Battle Creek is just a rest stop for all the drug dealers going back and forth from Chicago to Detroit. It's a big enough city to have every element of a big city (airport, movie theatres, sports teams, multiple high schools, a mall a penetrator, factories, military base, and so on), but small enough to have nothing to do except sex, drugs and get drunk. What is happening in BC is what is happening throughout "middle" America. The loss of manufacturing jobs with no jobs in the interim. Entrepreneurs need small business loans to create work (small business) where big business has left a vacuum. Remember Flint? If only the Federal Reserve would bail out Middle America like they do the failed banks and car companies.

Caring individuals my ass. I have lived in this ghetto drug infested stupid hillbilly dipshit town all of my life, and it's a junk pile piece of crap. Bought a house six months ago and idiot retard ghetto thieves have already broken into it. Prostitutes walk up and down Capital Ave. Post Addition is falling apart. Houses for sale everywhere. If it wasn't for my job, I would leave in a heartbeat! However was just trying to put a humorous spin on what is a very very sad crime filled town.

LOL! That is SO true! There are a lot of white and black TRASH in MI and Battle Creek! I have some family who live there (still) and I live in Los Angeles. I feel safer walking in downtown LA than BC (when I'm there)! Sad. And we have Blood and Crips here.

Whatever your job is, there has to be a better part of BC to live in, actually you should try moving outside of BC. If you work in the fort, live in Level Park, I know, hillbillies there, but Post Addition??? Yecch. You have the worst of BC in that area. You BOUGHT a property there? Good luck selling it! Of course if you need any crack, there are certain addresses in your area notorious for selling it."Hey man you got fiddy thent?" Hey man you gotta "EXTRA CIGARETTE?" "No, just 20 in the pack."
