Yeah, very VERY bizarre departure from his trademark one-piece jumpsuits of the era. Too bad only super 8 footage of the '75 tour exists. would've no doubt looked freakier in front of an actual video camera.
Penguin suit is right! Not one of Elvis' best stage outfits in my opinion but Elvis was so extremely talented that it over shone all else. I wonder what he did with all of those gifts that the audience gave him?

Elvis had several of these suits made in '75, they looked better in person and photographs, as the spotlight and this 8mm
