I hate this new game. I remember "Hurdles" since I was a kid, but it got retired. If you want to see "Hurdles", go take a time warp back to the 70's and watch "The Price is Right" with "Hurdles".

Let me tell you, I am NOT a fan of the Drew era at all, and it's sad that I have been swearing off such a tradition as TPIR, but there are way too many changes and little things that I just can't stand about it ever since he took over.

This game, however, has restored my faith in this great institution, however albeit temporarily. It's colorful, it's big, its suspenseful, and it's for a CAR. It reminds me very much of Let Em Roll, another car game that takes place on the same location as this .

Being this was aired 06-16-2010 it was a very sad day for me. My dad passed away at age 80. He sometimes watched TPIR and just afterwards, he would watch the local news at noon and then at 12:30 PM would be The Young and The Restless. God Bless To My Father 1930-2010 R.I.P.

It feels a bit like Spelling Bee with a twist. Interesting game but it doesn't require us to know anything about the prizes themselves so I think it's a bit odd. And shouldn't the announcer at least say "It's a prize package worth..." whatever?

At least it's exciting to watch....and I have seen worse games (On the Spot, Joker, Gas Money, etc).

By the way...what's up with all the designer clothes and accessories being offered as prizes these days?

It's an interesting game, but I'm not sure if Bob Barker would approve of it. In his day, he would occasionally have greyhounds on the show, who were looking for homes after being rescued from racing exploitation. Even though the rats here are mechanical, I'm sure that Barker would think it's animal exploitation just the same. But that's just my theory.

I have to DVR the show, but when I watched today's episode, I was so surprised that there was a new game because I thought the season would've been over by now. When does a season of TPIR usually end and, out of curiousity, what season did the Gas Money game premiere?? I can't seem to remember at this moment. Thanks!!

I just hope that this game has a better win rate then the Gas Money game. I think it was won the very first time it was played and then was never won again after that, unless I missed something.

The only change I'd add is an "on the nose" bonus -- bonus rats winning. If a contestant wins all three rats with two of them on the nose, they'd automatically win all six prizes everything but only get to choose one rat for a bonus cash prize like Shell Game.

It also has horse racing involved ("owning" rats, win, place, and show prizes), and contestants will be cheering their rats to win, place, and show! Mark Goodson's "carnival" is there.

They don't announce the total of all three major prizes in this game, just like they usually don't for Master Key. The contestant won the showcase, and his total was $2202 more than his IUFB, $11K on the wheel, and his SC. Wonder if the total included just the computer, or the cheese and DVD player he priced correctly? The prizes he priced correctly are $403($400 for the DVD player and $2.89,. rounded up to $3 for the cheese), which would leave $1799 for the computer.

This game is exciting, I felt the tension right there.

$1 on that small prize is a bit evil, you are right. But as I look at this, this was a very good game. I think Drew came up with an awesome idea, and it works!

They should make the three-digit prize also the third pricing prize, or change it to four prizes at stake: the car (price announced by announcer), the four-digit prize (guess within $1,000), the three-digit prize and a new two-digit prize, which should be the prize for a fourth-place finish.

I love this game, but honestly, only on Drew Carrey's version could this game ever be played! Even though I know they're machanical rats, I still couldn't see this sort of game being played if Bob was still hoasting.
