its not his song its a cover of a bruce cockburn acoustic instrumental piece called "sunwheel dance"...if u liked it then i would recommend cockburn's album "speechless" cuz its alot of the same stuff
The hard part is the 5 fret barre/stretch in the second half of the song. And the turnarounds. I'm a big Cockburn-head. I've got both his songbooks, and I learned this one about ten years ago. I photocopied it for a friend, and he said he found tabs and videos online. It's a fun one.
Two people dislike this? WTF?

really good rendition of an excellent song. using a slide is a cool idea, and your precision and feel are on point. high five.

That's a beautiful tune, beautifully played, man!
What's the tuning you're using for this?
And curse you - now I'm gonna have to find a capo that fits a Weissenborn-style guitar... which one is that on there?
hollowneck 4 years ago
The tuning is D major:
D A D F# A D

Yeah, I worked that out a while ago, openD w/capo @fret2, so openE (EBEG#BE)
Still trying to make time to sit down & properly work out this tune though... I got the ending section down & SOME of the rest!
One day I'll get there!
This Pierre LaVoie chap is one talented player... but I can't find recordings of his, other than these few clips on youtube :-(
Also it seems the "Slacky Poulie" tune has been removed... shame!
