  • I'm monster-sized compared to dainty Japanese girls. But I still want to look elegant in a yukata when I wear one this summer. Could anyone possibly tell me if it's horribly ridiculous that I am so tall that I don't even need to adjust the length of my yukata to wear it? Will it look silly to other people? :( Help is appreciated, thank you!

  • you saved me! ありがとう!

  • omg i just bought my yukata from kimono yukata market sakura like five mins ago!! X3 yay!

  • aaawww I´ve always wanted to wear yukata they are so pretty but that shame that I cant... I dont even know how to buy them and I dont have money and my mother would´t even let me buy them even if i had money.... :( aaawww they are so kawaiii~ I want one ♥♥♥

  • The people who do not like this video are the people that want the rest of the world to believe, we need help and assistance in wearing a kimono! Recently, a man, american, told me that I would not be able to put on my own kimono. This man sells a kyoto wedding service and dresses everyone himself and wanted to to dress my cast (i'm doing a video & short film). I am also a very happy customer too, (got my kimono today)! Thank you for the letter, fan, and Kinchaku too! - jessika

  • I just got mine from the sakura market in Japan, and I've yet to figure out how to shorten it since it goes past my ankles and I'm like 5'7" x.x

  • Very helpful. Figured I had to be folding to make it shorter but didnt know exactly how.

  • I have one but I've never been able to put it on nicely, this really helps !!

  • so when wearing a yukata you don't really need to wear a kimono slip

  • how do you go to the bathroom with out messing up your yukata or kimono?

  • With a Kimono --> You don't !!

    Too many layers. You just have to go before you put it on and hold it.

    With a yukata --> Lift up the bottom of it like you would a long skirt and go (be careful not to mess the obi).

    I don't know if that is gauche or not in Japanese culture but it IS possible (and what they don't know, can't hurt them....:P)

  • @foxyvixen19 Lol... That's what i want to know!! XD

  • Thanks for the videos.

    I hope to own a Yukata and Kimono one day.
