I love sims 3 because I am not one of those, uptight gamers. I mean I can be if you put me into a game like that, but really like to just sit back. In the previous The Sims, and The Sims 2,I really liked to build houses, focusing on structure and interior design, in The Sims 3 I can now take it to a whole new level.

If you like you can snap it to the grid, but it doesnt have to actually be on a grid

@no1SimGirl theres still an auto-allign, or snap-to-place feel. But you can put things diagonally, and you can fit a bunch of things on one surface now. WOO

@medinajulia The snap-to-place feel can be stopped by pressing alt. it makes it smooth so you don't have to put up with auto align (you can also press alt when rotating to do a free 360 rotation :) sorry if i sound "nerdish"

You can only have 8, like the sims 2 but there are multiple births in this game. I'm not sure about triplets but I think you can have them.
