I was intrigued until he busted out the SansAmp pedal. Yes, I own an Ampeg, but I'm not biased. We should always be looking for the perfect tone no matter the brand, right?
@Vanjal he was being sarcastic, Ampeg is the original bass amp maker. I use one of the newer ampeg cabs as a stage monitor but as far as amps this is pretty true. The heads aren't the best for 5 string and or low tunings, I've tried them. Really I think the mnemic tone is more sans amp than anything else. I have a Sans Amp RBI and it gets a VERY similar tone on the tube amp setting with everything set at 1 o'clock except the gain which is at 11 o'clock. The sans Amp pedal I'm sure was key
TC Amps better than Ampeg who are they trying to bullshit. Using the Sans Amp fattens out the tone or increases the drive. In metal you need a good pre and post amplification if the TC was that good it would not need the Sans
I like when TC also shows other manufactures cool stuff like this SansAmp. By doing this, you say that people (and potential customers) are not fools ;-)

I strongly believe that AMPEG amp couldn't possibly be invented 200 years ago.

@STATUSthesleepers I guess thats why the SM57s are for mids, and not lows :P
skaabu 10 months ago
@STATUSthesleepers yeah but it was probably just used for mids and or highs, the sans amps direct will give you more than enough low end on there own
