WoW! Hell Yeah! Love The Ataris!!! Been listening to a lot of The Ataris, Hey You!, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, All Time Low, and No Doubt....
Hey You! is still pretty new but they're waaaaaay dope. Pop/Rock/Punk with a real cool edge. Plus they've got a hot chick singer too :-) ...check em out...
Funny story about the Ataris. My cousin (who at the time worked for Epitaph Records). Would always tell me to listen to them and MxPx and is the reason why I love them. But during a warped tour, The bassist messed around with his (my cousin) girlfriend. And my cousin ended up spitting in his face before they got on stage. I still put on the Ataris when I see him.
I remember when I was 14 I would watch this like everyday. I used to buy everything I saw that had their name on it. This is definitely my favourite band of all time, the band I grew with as a person and as a musician, why I took up singing/songwriting and playing guitar in the first place. I hope someday I can actually meet Kris and tell him this.
@JasonLorelei become a fan of their facebook page. Kris maintains it himself. I have actually talked to him!! He replies to nearly anything posted on their page.
I've talked to Kris. The Ataris is really hands on with their fans, they'll talk to u after shows , have a drink about anything. I talked to Kris during one of his acoustic shows , and it was at a bar/cafe, and i told him he'd look different then he started laughing and admitting he gained weight lol. He told me how, and why, and that it wasn't because he ate a lot. Very nice guy, also he likes talking about tattoos.
not as good anymore, i mean when i saw him at Warped Tour he did not sing like he used, he suffered from depression for 2-3 year straight. That is also why he gained weight, and whatnot, and looks so different now. But still, one of the greatest bands out there.
It heard this song when I was on my flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles in 2005 fopr a student exchange. I had a lot of unforgotton memorable times and this song will always remind me of my visit in Southern California!
Hope they will change their style again cause Welcome the Night is just the terrible aftermath of Kris`s troubles !
There are several incredible songs on that CD, but this is one of the four best. I would say that The Hero Dies in this One, So Long, Astoria, and Looking Back on Today all merit praise...but this is just great also.
I'll take about every song from Welcome The Night over this, though. It's THAT powerful of a CD.
these are also my favs! but blue skies is favourite!!! I was something 'bout 14 years!!! theAtaris is the soundtrack of my life! If you know what I mean!
btw. (your name) I love the song "dying love" of useless id.
