Even if the political objectives of democracy in Iraq is never achieved; even if nothing else is achieved, this war demonstrated the immense courage and patriotism of the American people. It is not whether you win or lose, but how you fought, and struggled, and carried on, even when there is nothing left. This war was fought in the best American military tradition. Even if the politicians failed, the soldiers live on.
