The ending was so bad... I mean, Trevor die in school fight by 2 bullys that 2 feet higher than him? It just didn't fit the movie that the boy should die in my opinion..
@Kandis93 I disagree. I believe he HAD to die. The idea was to make a change, and he did. He created something bigger than himself. The fact that he died reinforced that even after his death, the impact of what he has done continues. Like dropping a stone into a pond, the ripples continue out. His death elevates the 'Pay it Forward' movement to mythic status. Through his death, we realise we can all make a change, we just may not see the immediate results. I hope you understand what I mean.
The movie is wonderful but reading the book is even better. It is a very inspiring movie for everyone for the world to be a better place to live and to see more kindness in everyone's heart.
As far as I know when I pay it forward it has never worked towards me because I've never seen the results (as far as I know).
That's ok, because I pay it forward to strangers for the most part. I'm not supposed to know what they do and it shouldn't be for my own satisfaction or gratification.
However when people do good things for me, whether or not they are very small or very big, I always pay it forward to someone else.
In this I think it works. Somehow karma is wonderful.
