I use it for 2 main reasons, the batch processing and backsolving and the ability to "flash" 240 positions per minute, nearly 5,000 positions in 20 minutes ! It is the best in the industry for "drill" work. I am 2590 rated and trying to break 2750 so use this for drills. Each has unique abilities, like a toolbox. Never expect one do it all tool. Better a versatile toolbox, many tools, many choices ! I have done 90 moves in 20 sec. OTB, NOT a JOKE. Mike, you have great stuff, great skills.
I have personally talked to Mike and found him to be very professional, extremely nice and most humble. He has an awesome program. I own and use all the pro stuff and can say C.O.W. Pro should be called the "cash cow". It is why I paid 160.00 for the advanced "backsolving" abilities, which it does better than Aquarium, ChessBase(which does not do backsolving specifically), Chess Assistant.
@teneight78 It's different from ChessBase. It's rather like comparing a spreadsheet to a word processor. Chess Openings Wizard is built for studying theory, especially opening theory, while ChessBase is built for organizing games.

Don't be a redneck. How about some arguments? Why do you think it's not good? Can you recommend better software?
