  • yeah exept neither DC-10s Nor L1011s nor various 747s sounded like that. That would have had to have been eather a 737-200, a 727, or a DC-9.

  • @88mroux OK, great, whatever. I'd like to point out that my hobby is trains, not planes. That's why my videos show mostly.....TRAINS. Thank you for watching.

  • @yankinga it's ok. I love trains too of course. And I love this old video you posted on youtube. I love it much more to see SP 2472 running on mainline tracks so that she can travel on longer routes than the Niles Canyon Railway, and also much faster. I'm definately voting to get the 2472 back on mainline tracks so that she can run just like this again!

  • Is that a fighter jet i hear taking off in the backround?

  • @88mroux The sound of a commercial jet taking off from nearby San Francisco International.

  • @yankinga It's so loud it sounded more like a fighter or a supersonic bomber

I was set up near where the Milbrae Bart station is today.

  • Either way you cut it, an SP PS-8 with a mainly Daylight consist is hard to beat.

  • what year was this?

  • @00slippy 1992

  • I also miss the rest of those Southern Pacific Daylight painted cars. What happened to them?

  • @88mroux - Most were scattered to the wind and while many belong to private owners, some have been scrapped.

  • Which are rightfully her stoping grouds and not the UP

  • Great stack talk coming away from the runby, it's rare you hear her working hard. Keep this videos coming if you have more, it's good to see her in her old stomping grounds.

  • I miss those silver cylender heads.

  • @ThomasRivette So do I

  • This brought back a lot of memories, thank you for sharing. Especially kewl seeing the old track arrangements before it was all rebuilt.

  • And a young Conductor Petey protecting the shove...
