@88mroux OK, great, whatever. I'd like to point out that my hobby is trains, not planes. That's why my videos show mostly.....TRAINS. Thank you for watching.
@yankinga it's ok. I love trains too of course. And I love this old video you posted on youtube. I love it much more to see SP 2472 running on mainline tracks so that she can travel on longer routes than the Niles Canyon Railway, and also much faster. I'm definately voting to get the 2472 back on mainline tracks so that she can run just like this again!
@88mroux I didn't see that particular plane, but I was standing about 1500' from the west end of Runway 1R at SFO. Planes were taking off to the east, which means their thrust was directed at me. This was 1992 and there were still plenty of 747s, L1011s and DC10s operating, all of which were much louder than today's aircraft. Look at a map. I was set up near where the Milbrae Bart station is today.
Great stack talk coming away from the runby, it's rare you hear her working hard. Keep this videos coming if you have more, it's good to see her in her old stomping grounds.
yeah exept neither DC-10s Nor L1011s nor various 747s sounded like that. That would have had to have been eather a 737-200, a 727, or a DC-9.

@yankinga It's so loud it sounded more like a fighter or a supersonic bomber

I also miss the rest of those Southern Pacific Daylight painted cars. What happened to them?

@88mroux - Most were scattered to the wind and while many belong to private owners, some have been scrapped.
