Mark, my good friend. Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. You are welcome back any time. Pensive loitering appreciated, encouraged, etc. around here.
Aramis, my friend. Long time. How have you been? Well, I hope. Pardon my absence, but things have been quite busy for some time. I'm overdue for a stop by your channel to catch up. Thank you for your visit to this post, and for your comment. I'm glad if it prompts your thoughts, my good friend.
Hello, lovely lady. Nice to see you again. Thank you for coming by, and for your kind comment. I'm glad you liked the video, particularly in considering it was put together rather impromptu. Much love to you, my friend.
Hello to you again, lovely lady. Thank you for your presence and comment. I'm glad you liked the piece, and I'm glad you stopped by for a viewing. My apologies for not being by your channel in some time. I'm afraid my presence on YT has been quite limited for a while. There is much catching up I need to do, and many an apology to be made. How have you been as of late? Still in the throes of studying for the degree? You must drop me a line to catch me up. Much love to you.
Hi. Must explain removed second comment as it was a repeat of the first 'cos Youtube is playing games with my comments, but not my mind, no not that! ;-)
Thought full poem and presentation! Enjoyed your dialogue with Charles. Yes, when the body dies so does the mind so we must mind to use the mind whilst we are minded and mind how.
Hello again, Lina my friend. Thank you for viewing and for your comment, and a charming way to put it (whether woodworker, wordsmith, nor whatever, it is owed to the craft to do the best we can with the tools at our command). Ive always enjoyed any discourse Ive had with Charles. He is a brilliant and engaging person and poet, his write imbued always with an undertone of fascination for every aspect of life.
I see simply our inner lights as that of the greater source - which is our biggest potential for individual creation and for a sense of unity with others all at once.
Hello again, M'Lady. Lovely to see you. Thank you for the viewing, your thoughts, and comments. You have seen the point precisely. It is the mind's entity of self which clouds this, seeing itself as source. Please switch to 'view all' mode and read the discussions with Charles. Much love to you, my wonderful friend.
Thanks for coming by and for the comment, Marcelo. I'm glad you liked the piece. It seems we are all on that path these days; a thing unheard of a half century ago. May your journey be a good one, my friend.
Quite right that any journey, either with or within the mind, should be conducted in proper fascination. And how have you been Angelo, my excellent friend? It is good to hear from you. Sorry I've not been in touch as frequently as of late. I hope you have been well. Thank you for attending, for your comment, and for your compliment. You always have my fondest regards and heart-felt respect. Till next time, my friend.
hi michael ....i'm glad that after a taxing year, you're getting a little wiggle room to express yourself like you've just done......here's to you having a good good summer.*****
Hello, Mary. It's been a while. How've you been, my good man? Well, I hope. Thanks for the viewing and the comment. Unfortunately, still quite busy. I just decided that forcing the time to do a little YT was in order. Take care, my friend. I wish you a good summer as well.
Micheal, This is fantastic ! I agree with ambervisions you have a nice tone when reading the poem and i could listen to you all day lol .... It was wonderful micheal have a fantastic week hugs rachael :)
Thank you for your wonderful comment and audience, dear lady. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece and the reading. I'm not too familiar with the audio software I used, so I'm afraid it sounded more like it was coming from a tin can than the cosmos, but couldn't resist the urge to play a little bit. (Maybe I should make videos frequently enough to become familiar with the software, y'think?) Much love to you, my friend.
Just to add that I entirely agree that our own lesser light is grounded in, and is an opaque reflection of, the greater, while we persist in the opposite view: "Still only seeing inner light As that of source and not reflection." But the reverse is the truth of purged illumination. It sometimes seems we have to see ourselves as two quite separate entities, the whole for a while subsumed in the part. This is surely the deeper truth of your poem.
Yes. Our 'light' is born of the same nature, the same energy, and expressed as subsequent resonance of form. It is cognizance, the physical aspect of consciousness born of mind, which creates 'the veil', seeing itself as both entity and source and resolving all to self as entity (its 'language') through comprehension. The mind is but a physical, or metaphysical, expression of our consciousness, a state of awareness symbiotic with the nervous system and brain. When the body dies, so does the mind
It is then the entity of mind which sees the inner light as 'opaque', as seen through the veil (pardon the metaphor), and not recognizing it as the light, but seeing it as its own nature. When we cannot recognize the true nature of inner light, how then can we recognize the true light without, or within another?
Great vid & poem Michael. You have reinforced the feeling of ghostliness, of illusion stressed by the eastern philosophies. I think it's true that the more we know about our own neural physiology the more reason we have to agree with the Maya concept. But despite this knowledge we rightly continue to think of ourselves 'as more than mind' - just as despite knowing the earth is round, our everyday senses tell us it is most decidedly flat :) Regards, Chas
Thank you for your comments and audience, my good friend. In spite of our problems, it is an interesting age we live in, where quantum physics is pointing us to the realization that all perspectives, diverse though they may be, are still derivatives of the greater unity. The mind is but one aspect of our consciousness, slow to see beyond the self, but evolving. I greatly enjoyed your poem, its intimate perspective and imagery, but didn't want to over-post my welcome with too many a comment.
Okay. I had to listen again when there are no children around making background noise. I think I could listen to you recite the phone book! lol Your voice is very soothing! I the ending echo gives a feeling of endlessness....so very fitting for the line. I so enjoy your style of writing and recitation. Thank you for taking time to share this piece with us! Much love to you my friend!
Hello again my lovely friend, and thank you for this kind comment. I'm glad you like the reading. The NASA site (see the more info box) has a lot of excellent images from the Hubble telescope free to use. They only ask that you give source credit when using them. Much love to you as well, dear lady.
I have returned to this a couple of times now, and am sure that further readings would reveal more in your words. Rangy, expansive, 5* poem.

'Still only seeing inner light
As that of source and not reflection'
I see simply our inner lights as that of the greater source - which is our biggest potential for individual creation and for a sense of unity with others all at once.
Great NASA pic also!
