  • its not REALLY jumping, at its maximum height its feet are just about touching the floor, have a look

  • i wish i could jump that high -_-

  • but would it jump onto anything they may have had that particular chair because it has a back and they may have put it at a certain distance for it to work still it looks cool

  • HEAD CRAB!!

  • frogger 2055 : the revenge of frogger!

  • it is a frog!

  • It kinda hurts when its knees pop back in at 0:08 and 0:13 ><

  • lol oh humanity, you so screwed

  • Woah, that was creepy looking! Now mount a gun on it and send it to war...

  • ...now give it a sword :P

  • Thats prety sweet

  • That's a pretty awesome frogbot.

  • wow the high-speed camera really shows how many timed movements are involved in doing something that seems so simple.

  • looks like a toad :D

  • when animals land after jumping, they usually retract their legs when their feet start to touch the ground. that robot retracts its legs right after the full extension.

  • what do you suggest?

  • like i said, retract its legs before impact so the legs can also act like a shock absorber.

  • pretty cool but it sometimes looks like the back of the chair is stopping it from falling off

  • really cool!

  • Bobobéka! Wuii!! Gerat!!

  • OMG lol

  • Thats sexy!

  • @McClover That cause you want it to jump and land on your cock!

  • rrribbit..

Nice.. This thing can take over when we finally kill all the wildlife ^^

  • um lulz

  • Bloody good, there. This looks like no biggie, but to think about the c.o.m control implementation would make it a matrix nightmare. Of course, I suppose there is no mechanical optimization involved and its just electro-sensory control of the com. But what the heck, its still bloody good...

  • wow aloada big words there so you must be right ;)

  • That's usually the scheme engineers love to follow >;D. Anyway, I was just wondering if these guys implemented any feedback control (if the frog is close to chair, then it retracts legs, so it has to sense chair..that kind of feedback) of the center of mass(com) or if all they did was make a complex paper frog, which can just jump without sensing the chair, which is manually placed at the right place for it to land on. The latter is nothing big, but the former is kind of complex, phd level work

  • Fantastic! I can't find words...

  • in future we are going to have smarter humanoid athletes and roboheroes..i think of sunny in irobot

  • in future we are going to have smarter humanoid athletes and roboheroes..i think of sunny in irobot

  • i would be freaked out that the robot wouldnt make the chair.. then thousands of dollars would need to be spended to fix it.. ahh jumping

  • technology the's day's? War Of The World's spring's to mind.....

  • looks more like "George Foreman Grill"

  • It should not completely retract - knee should be left with enough room for dampening landing

  • Robot frogs duhh!

  • look like frog

  • Wow! He really kermited to that ! Kermit, get it. Had me Rivited. Rivit.

  • ribbit?
