@Dramzul Well AMD doesn't have good support for linux so the drivers aren't great(or so I remember)... Try installing some other game that have linux binaries(ex. Woflenstein: Enemy-Territory) and see how it works...
@djtoxic35K i run Call of Duty Black Ops on ubuntu with no lag no problem obviously u doing something wrong ;) btw windows is for starters linux is the way to go, old crappy pcs perform on linux same or better then lastest rig out there with windows on it
how do you enable opengl mode? i really need to know cause i installed it and nothing so i removed it and going to install it agin to see what happends.
Does it still happen that the walking animation stops for a second until you jump? Or has this been fixed too now? I had this on 9.04 + wine (not sure of version anymore, but definitely an older one(couple of months)) Nice vid btw :)
@cultrure I'm using Debian Squeeze and that problem disappeared. However, FPS SUCKS COCK. Tried regedit opengl trick, opengl mode ofc, using lowest setting and even lower than wow client allows using config.wtf tricks, but nothing. Still worse than windows, I think I'm just gonna format my wxp, it's all that it needs after all.
@Chintendoeddman Well basicly it creates a platform on what can run mostly Windows programs so it can be think as an emulator. But as me, user, I dont see the difference between a compatibility layer and emulator.
@tinuxnl If you're referring to the sliding animation caused by keyboard repeat, it has not been fixed yet. Disabling keyboard repeat is easy enough though, 3 clicks if I remember correctly.
wine sucks cock, i got a pentium 4 and hd4650 and cant even play 11 year old game cs 1.6 lol

@djtoxic35K Well it's emulated so it realy needs way more CPU than when playing on WinXP but works for me almost equally.

Wine
Is
Not an

@cultrure Yeah it seems like it is an emulator. But it works in a different way. If it was an emulator it would be a whole lot slower.
