  • dude your fucking crazy, its one thing after another with this truck and you bought it anyways. your the reason why people hate fords, they buy shit that needs work everytime you turn around and gest tired of it and then blames it on ford...... DONT buy shit that needs work.... 11k yea real good deal you got there bud.

  • Blown head gaskets aren't "known" to do that. It was probably abused if it was on a farm.

  • @Mr450Foreman Honestly I don't know how the truck was driven before I purchased it. I know it pulled a 25ft gooseneck trailer on a daily basis. Blown head gaskets on a 6.0 blow this way. Take a look at my other video. The torque to yeild bolts fail, and under boost you get combustion gases that enter the coolant system causing the truck to puke coolant. Very common on these 6.0's Powerstrokes.

  • gotta change those ugly tail lights haha

  • 6.0L cant match to the 7.3

  • @gooftropp1 with head studs it will destroy a 7.3. last just as long and be much stronger/faster.

  • @powerstroke279 you now what at least i own a ford...... 7.3 is legendary. yeah for a fact 6.0l breakdown more 6.0 and 6.4 are all mess ups from international

  • @gooftropp1 stock, yeah the 7.3 will last longer. But its not like its bulletproof. I have seen many throw rods through the block and seen even more with junked transmissions at 150k. A new transmission or rebuilt engine is about the same as studs, oil cooler, and egr delete on a 6.0. And then you dont have to worry about your tranny or engine. The 5 speed toqueshift is much much stronger.

  • It only cost $4900 here is a link to the video youtube.com/watch?v=E8XVw2A-nUo&feature=youtube_gdata_player Watch it he tells you what he looks for in the bullet proofing process, and some of the things he does to the truck for bulletproofing.

  • @Fordman903 I don't think I would spend 5K on bulletproofing my truck, I have alot of other things I can spend 5k on instead of the bulletproofing my truck. I truck is pretty much bullet proofed. I have ARP head studs, straight exhaust (no cat, or muffler), new head gaskets, egr delete, upgraded oil cooler, and all new gaskets and filters. Truck runs great. My PSI in my coolant system runs arounds about 11 PSI now. I spent less than about $1500 with parts and labor. Merry Christmas!

  • @lariatfx Correction it would not cost you between $12000 to $15000 to bullet proof the truck it would cost you less than $10000 actually. Go to powerstrokehelp YouTube channel and look at his video of bulletproofing your 6.0 diesel, he specializes in diesels only ford diesels . Go watch his video of bulletproofing a 6.0 diesel if you ask me the price he charges for bulletproofing is rather good.

  • I'm thinkin about buying my dads friends 05 f350 with the 6.0 it's a crew cab long bed and I think if I got it I would bullet proof the engine so I would never have to worry when I pull our fifth wheel

  • @ebtowne you can "bullet proof" it but it would cost you $12,000.00 to $15,000.00 to do it properly.

  • I'm thinking about buying me a newer model 6.0 either 05-07 model year man I love them 6.0 diesels, they are some good engines if you maintain them correctly.

  • @Fordman903 If your really thinking of buying one of these trucks make sure its had the head gaskets done on it, with the ARP head bolts. Once I get this truck studded, it should be ok for another 100,000 miles. Other than the head gasket issue on my truck, it runs fine.

  • @Fordman903 unfortunatly, the 6.0 Power Stroke was bad for head gaskets. Well, not really the head gaskets but the factory head bolts which didn't "seat" the factory head gaskets properly under adverse conditions. So make sure if you replace the head gaskets do yourself a favour and install ARP head bolts! This, along with a few more modifications and tuning, make the 6.0 Power Stroke a very reliable and dependable engine.

  • I see u have the set up like puglife

  • @06dirtyblack Yup! This is really how I found out this truck has bad head gaskets. Its ashame that it does because I really don't have the money to spend to fix it right now, but it needs to be done. I just lost the shop I was working out of, what a perfect time, go figure right! I have all the parts already to do the job, but the job is very difficult to do without lifting the cab off the truck to access the engine. Really can't beat the price I paid for it and it runs sweet!

  • Nice rig

  • Runs good for having bad head gaskets.
