After just handling the A33, I can honestly say that the 'tru-finder' electronic viewfinder is utterly horrid in comparison to a conventional optical view finder. The refresh is slow (to the point where the image tears when you pan) and the resolution and contrast are both quite poor.
On the other hand, this camera is likely aimed at those stepping up from a point and shoot, and will mostly likely be solely using the live mode anyway. On that note, the LCD on the back of this thing is stunning.
With the "sweeping panorama" and "translucent mirror" concepts, Sony has been making breakthrough after breakthrough. I hope this does well so that when I save up enough money for an SLR, I'll be able to get a successor to these cameras. Until this camera, I was leaning towards Canon and Nikon, but all of these cool features are swaying me the other way.
@LTF85199 30% is half a stop of light that is lost. In most cases insignificant. It's a small loss for a great advantage (continuous phase detection AF).
The light loss is acceptable, but the lack of aperture use and the stuttering viewfinder at 10 fps is a big deal breaker. Topped of with a 50 second flush time after shooting a burst is unacceptable and defeats the camera for real sports or action photography.
who knows the soundtrack of this movie?

When you split 30 and 70 percentage light wouldn't you loose some light that would otherwise hit the sensor.?. (low exposure)

Interesting concept. The true test is if it does what it says it will do on the field!
