  • DISLIKE!!! Not for the music of course!!! You cannot show so violent pictures in a Beethoven part of music!!

  • dahsif This symphony was originally written for Napoleon, although on hearing that he had crowned himself Emperor of the French, Beethoven became disgusted and tore up the title page, naming it Eroica. He dedicated it "To the memory of a great man" implying that that "great man" died when he crowned himself Emperor.

  • Why Lacrimosa in the end? You are misunderstaning less informed people.

  • chopin funeral march > beethoven funeral march

  • Chopin's Funeral March is twice as awesome

  • @tromuniapp yes it's lacrimosa ^^

  • can't believe that ppl actually dragged in Bieber into a Beethoven video's comment section. There is somethin so wrong about that. its an ABOMINATION for that name to be anywhere near to where Beethoven is. and i wish ppl would stop talking about him. if u don't like sumone don't give him the credit by even bad mouthing him.

  • @gundrag000 What in gods name did you just post?

  • im trying to think of a beethoven song. I heard it, know what it sounds like, and know its by beethoven, but I dont know its name, genre, or type. I really want to hear it again. Help!!!

  • @Zenithnoon12 never mind, I found out its his symphony no. 7. pretty awsome piece if you look it up.

  • @Zenithnoon12

first it isn't a song :) Was is sad? Happy? Dramatic? Which instruments? Piano? Duet? Trio? ... :P

  • @LLPorduction I thin k the key word there is symphony, and i should point out its the 2nd movment i was thinking of. It sounds similar to this but with a different feel.

  • @Zenithnoon12

7th symphonie second movement sounds a tad similar somtimes :) try it :P if it isn't !! well Beethoven wrote 9 symphonies :) so trial an error can work.

  • @LLPorduction no, i already found the song i was looking for. Its beethoven's 7th symphony, 2nd movement.

  • This funeral march is far better than Chopin's one. And yet it's so far less known to the public. you just can't top the original... Beethoven invented a huge pile of musical ideas that all later composers borrowed from. Even those that didn't like him or publicly bashed his music. Privately they were in awe.

  • @susumu07 that first sentence is a matter of opinion, cause i sure as hell don't think that.

  • @darthdaris I agree!!! Chopin's funeral march and Mahler "Titan" III funeral march are my favs.

  • The song in the Credits is Requiem Mass by Mozart

  • what the song afte the music ends ?

  • @tonn0203 read the credits

  • The passion in this music...Is indescribable past the sounds themselves.

I loved this video the timings were great all around.

  • 3:30 i close my eyes and enjoy the creeps

  • There are very few real geniuses in the history of the world...ones that leave their marks in life, and continue to do so even after death...in ways that leave a positive and everlasting effect on the rest of humanity for an eternity. In my humble opinion, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn and Dali were four such people. You can feel Beethoven's passion and pain in his every tone....

  • simply beautiful

  • what orchestra?

  • I am really impressed with this. Good job.

  • this is what I want to be played when I die, not that my life was anything close to Napoleon's.

  • old guy at 0:36 looks like the guy who killeg gohst and roach :(

  • I never thought I would feel sad when animated characters died in the game. Beethoven can sometimes do that to you.

  • el final es lacrimosa del requiem de mozart!

  • The begging is really touching actually. The music fits rather well with the scene and the subtitles. Only problem is, Nanotechnology gets a bad reputation for its science fiction attributes haha.

  • ihr banausen, beethoven wird sich im grab rumdrehen, assi

  • Great piece, Great Game...nuf said

  • @TwainPvP troll

  • Dude, someone stole your vid. if you want, I'LL GIVE YOU THE LINK!!!

  • I love thiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much for posting the Beethoven version

  • How this has ANYTHING to do with MGS I don't know

  • You know, that is definitiv NOT the Funeral March of Beethoven. Its the symphony Eroica, 2nd movement.

So why are you telling that this is the funeral march???

  • well this 2th movement were called a funeral march

    search wikipedia about this symphony

  • @satimo87 Because it is a funeral march. The second movement IS a funeral march, just like the second movement from his 7th symphony. These changes he made to the symphonic form initiated the age of romanticism.

  • Perfect. Absolutely perfect. For those who disagree, perhaps we are not wired the same, but I think that you are just missing it. This is great.

  • This isn't the funeral march i know by Beethoven o-o...

  • there are a few

theres a much better one ... i know what ur talking about it was in the movie "knowing"

  • .... its actually seventh symphony, movement 2

;) prbbly thats what ur talking about

  • I need to buy that game!!!! had enough from atari asteroids

  • i dont know but the music doesnt fit in my opinion.

  • Cyber Ninja > SEALs.

"war and violence are signs of weakness and ignorance......."

    Nope.

  • Shame on this video !

  • war and violence are signs of weakness and ignorance.......

This Video makes me Sad. Although it shows scenes of a game, they remind me of scenes you see every day in the news.

Mankind isn`t grown and still not able to learn from the Past.

  • Good game and excellent music: Beethoven and Mozart. I like the video: very dramatic.

  • I felt beetoven cry when i listen this music

  • Good game!

  • .. marche funebre is a common noun.. a lot of pieces are "marches funebres" actually

  • The first music is the 2nd movement of Beethoven's Symphony in E Flat Major (3rd Symphony) also known as "Eroica" or "Heroic"; this particular movement is known as Beethoven's Funeral March.

And the second one is Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem in D minor. I though believe that "Marche funebre del Signor Maestro Contrapunto" in C minos for piano by Mozart would have been a better choice.

What you are referring to is Chopin's piano sonata no 2.

These are all considered as funeral marches.

  • Thanks. But what are such musical chef-d'oeuvres doing in such a bad video game ?

  • @1y bad video game? this game is awesome! one of my favourites!

  • Chopin did write a musical piece titled Funeral March. This isn't that song. This is a song written by Beethoven, which happens to have the same title.

  • oh thanks lol srry

  • also by Beethoven, two different pieces, same name.

  • noob ?

  • these men are too cold blood

  • 1:40 perfect timing

  • @grumbles seriously great timing

  • what is the exact title of this piece? ive looked all over and havent been able to find this specific rendtion of it. I know that its larcrymosa at the credits but the rest of it i dont know, can someone help please?

  • it's the second movement of beethoven's "eroica" symphony (means heroic, as it was written with napoleon in mind). it's the 3rd symphony. the part you're hearing starts at about 6 minutes into the movement, give or take.

  • But now I see what you mean... they put the Lacrymosa of Mozart's Requiem in the end. D.R.

  • The Funeral march is beethoven. The credits music is Mozart's Lacrimosa from his requiem

  • This funeral march is Beethoven's, Chinoh. It is the second movement of his Symphony Nº 3 "Eroica". There is no Mozart in here. D.R.

  • nice video i give you a 20/5! for using BEETHOVEN's songs for metal gear

  • Nothing ever beats Beethoven!

  • MY Favorite Game and My Favorite piece cool

  • i think, we'll live that story future

  • what is the real name of the song???

  • It's a segment of the second movement of Beethoven's third symphony.

The chorus part is from Mozart's requiem.

  • i love mgs so much, the epic storylines and all that jazz! ah...

  • there's also music from mozart who you can play on his head and with 2 violins at the same time. Its a duet, and you put the standart like the musicpaper (don't know english word for it) lies like a paper on a table, a violinist goes standing at the oter side and you on the opposite side, and than you play. (sorry for my poor english, i hope you can understand it).

  • im reading the book.."somthing wicked this way comes" and they say somthign about this song being played backwards..but the one by chopin..would anyone be able to get that for me???backwards?

  • Amazing!!

  • well done!

  • these are truly the saddest monents in mgs history. almost makes me want to cry. almost.

  • Beethoven third symphony, "The Heroic", second movement.

Beethoven was dedicating this symphony to Napoleon Bonaparte, and he violently scratched Napoleon's name from the manuscript when he learned that Bonaparte had crowned himself emperor.

  • @carlosrcanas y thats the only way he can conquer

  • @carlosrcanas @carlosrcanas Hey man, i dont want to contradict what your saying because i learned that yes one of beethoven's songs were dedicated to napoleon (then scratched out by the composer) but are you sure it is this one? I dont want to disagree with you on this one, but i cant say i can agree either.

  • @carlosrcanas Sorry, its the "Eroica Symphony", and isn't that the coolest story you ever heard about a symphony? When I read this story in a biography, I googled pictures, ha, and you can actually find pics of the orignal score, and see the big gashes and holes, pretty neat.

  • @li0nsl0ver

Eroica means Heroic in Italian and generally is used for a classical/ romantic work that is big dramatic and grand e.g Chopin’s Heroic polonaise, Beethoven’s Eroica Variations or Mauro Giuliani Sonata Eroica.

However I believe Beethoven meant this title literally as he was a advocate of Bonaparte prior to crowning him emperor, he called him something like “the champion of the meek”. In other words Beethoven’s “Hero” was “Old Bonaparte”

  • @carlosrcanas we can all use wikipedia dipshit

  • @carlosrcanas Nah it's the eroica 3rd movement G, although I maybe really wrong on that.

  • @carlosrcanas third mvt actually.

  • @Bruceforge

Nope. This is the second movement.

  • es una vereguenza que un tema clasico sea comparado con una de las barabaridades del ser humano como la muerte de uno a otro , pesimo de quien dio origen a esta tragedia y aml de quien la esta propagando

  • Comment removed

  • No it istn't... It's Beethoven.

  • LOL!

  • 1:40 what is that??

    where is it from??

i know its metal gear solid but i just wanna know what game was it in

  • Metal Gear Solid: Te Twin Snakes.

    Gray Fox's death.

  • there is a trumpet solo that is played in moment of silence and it was started with 2 eight not and then a hight note

  • Good editing, good song!

  • wut symphony is this!? i love this song!

  • symphony 3 - eroica

  • thanks but which movement?

  • It is the 2nd Movement of Beethoven's 3rd Symphony. On youtube, you find some interpretations, and of them I like the one of Klemperer the best. Just search for "Klemperer NPO Beethoven 2/3", 2/3 because it is the second of three parts (of the 2nd movement).

  • some pll didnt stay till after the credits the game specifically said that he doesnt kill him self and that big boss was revived only to be killed agian by the fox die in snakes body. duh!

  • You are so lucky to have the fourth game

Ive been waiting for that game for a long time

  • i have all these games Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 :Sons of Liberty , Metal Gear Solid 3: SnakEater, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots

and they all are awesome i love all these gamees and nice video :D

  • amazing music

  • 2:35 - 2:47 best emo game out there, period :)

Great editing, the 53 seconds of it were brilliant. The rest was really good too, but I'd have left out the metal gears. The sheer amount of time it took to down those mofo's always brings me bad memories. And I really hope Angele isn't where I think she is.

  • GAAYYYYY

  • u gay and pathetic , and no life , seek a life , and maybe u got a worst life ever i think

  • A great video for a great game series. Beethoven's Funeral March was a perfect choice for this. It reminded me of the 1986 movie Platoon which used Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' as it's core theme. Both are equally moving and dramatic. Thanks for sharing this.

  • You are having a really interesting conversation, but therefore i have an other question; does somebody know the track beginning with the credits at the end?

  • i believe its beethoven's requim not funeral march

  • no requiem by beethoven, sigh, he didnt wrote any

  • yes he did

he write one for himself when he thought he was gona die of some disease he caught

(cant remember what 1 and he didnt die)

  • its the 2nd movement of beethovens 3rd symphony

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahah man .. *sniff* u really said it this time hahahahahahah

  • quite manifique, 00:47 - 00:50, captures the feeling well.

dahsif you are far too cultured for TUS, nevermind youtube. Although cultured in such a way that it lends to TUS's destructive nature.

    *tips hat*

  • I love you.

  • olaga246 has right, it's form the 3rd symphony "Eroica" second movement from that symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. And Chopin write only piano music, his funeral march is written for the piano. So... this is Beethoven not F.Chopin.

    P.S: I like the video. :P

  • I'm wit u dahsif :P

  • what shit. this is NOT by beethoven, it is by Chopin. its his 2nd piano sonata, 3rd movement in b-flat minor - Marche Funebre (op. 35, no.2)

  • keep you mouth shut this is from his 3 symphony

  • Heres a little music lesson for you. A funeral march is a type of march, with a few characteristics... and they're often associated with using in funerals. they're often minor. and in 2/4. Both this and Chopin's are. Have you ever heard Chopin's? I'm assuming not, because if you had, you'd be able to tell easily that this ISN'T it.

  • am i also 5042?

    --Jejunum

  • Not 5000th. Sad.

  • I actually downloaded this movement after watching this shit, dahsif.

  • THAT WAS WRITTEN BY CHOPIN!!

  • but you must be stupid if u posted that message you`re sick

  • i like this .

    make me feel happy S:
