I mean, all the Idols have their sets, most of them have wicked songs, it's all good...you reach the end of the show...you have an awesome Journey song....and it's completely covered in cheeeeese! D': Whyyyyy. What's with the lights, the outfits, the horrible cheesy "Goodbye" inclusion?!! LOL. It's so, so bad :'( Is it tradition to always do that? The rehearsal of DSB on youtube was so epic! Why change it?
Can't believe the AI guys let Adam do his thing. That is sooo f-n cool. You can see he's holding back so much still. Like: he's totally refraining himself from including the original wails (you know the ones) in WLL haha. His own tour could be so epiiiiic if he has good songs. I know he sort of wants to go down the GaGa route : | but he excels w rock. Hope he keeps reinventing himself bc the electro stuff can get old quick.
Surely I'm not the only one hoping that for Adam's solo tour he throws some 18+ or 21+ shows in the mix. Can you imagine? If he's doing what he's doing now during the American Idol tour...it is gonna be AWESOME x 1000 for his solo tour!
Great interview! This year was my first AI concert and I loved it. Great job on everyones set. But ADAM... ohh there are no words. He was spectacular and amazing. I cant wait for his solo tour.
Raj, could you please improve Adam's lighting? He looks like he is performing in the dark. Also, could you get the bass player to play the correct bass line on "Lets Dance?" He's killing that tune with that galloping rhythm that is NOT in the song and sounds like crap frankly. Thanks bro.
Not sure if Raj was the FINAL decision-maker, or he had to go with some of the Idol show producers wishes, but here are some of the things that need to be improved:
1. Why doesn't Adam come up on the elevator? It's an electrifying entrance that he deserves.
2. Where are the dancers -- esp. for Lil's "Singles Ladies"..? VERY missing!
3. Where are the dramatic stairs and set pieces? The video is all great, but the stage is completely devoid of any real artistic merit.
So happy Kris has a new song instead of No Boundaries. The song doesn't fit his set and this is not his genre of music so why not let him sing a song that his more his style. 100% a good decision
next time you talk to Raj, please tell him to restore the lighting on Adam during Whole Lotta Love. It seem to be diminishing during some of his memorable moments

They should have left Kris Allen's song "No Boundaries" on the tour, I love Adam's "No Boundaries" too. It is a good song if people give it a chance!!
I know that "No Boundaries" has a good message, but they said it's hard to sing live, and they also have to go with the audience reaction.
Most importantly, kris doesn't seem to like singing it, so he shouldn't have to. Say what u want about Kris, but he does a great job with song selection. He should sing something he likes.
I know Kris should sing what he wants, I am just kinda suprised that the Idol people BTS would let the winner not sing the "winning song" I believe Kris knows what he is doing with his set is good, just kinda suprised me as well that the winner of idol is not singing the "winning song" at the idol concert.
