  • what op is this?

  • shame that the only way I heard this is because I was searching for the original that THe Prodigy sampled for Dead Ken Beats

  • This has really caught the spirit of the piece and thank you for the recording.

  • whoever recorded sucked and must have never listened to the piece because even though there is a whole other part aside from the string ensemble, the string quartet solo the video focuses on the accompaniment. so basically you suck the music was good just im just not to sure as to who is recording!

  • @jeffcello the focus of the Elgar was the young people accompanying the professional Quartet. I might not know much about music but I know about filming to a brief :-) Check out the Bartok and Brittain from the same evening for Quartet. But you are right - it was the first time I had heard it properly. Filming music cold, single camera, fixed location, single take. Try it some time-)

  • Jane eyre 1973 :)

  • @gretavill Ah, another JE (BBC TV) 1973 fan! Yes, it's hard to separate the two, in my mind. What a perfect theme. :-)

  • inspiring and totally uplifting the spirit

  • Shame! Only three comments for such a glorious performance!

  • So very beautiful, and so underplayed - the more popular 'Land of Hope and Glory' to most epitomises Elgar, but to me - this IS Elgar at his finest.

  • Great Music !!!

  • very very beautiful i love it, verlo en vivo es mil veces mejor. gracias!! (thank you very much)
