I live in Arnaudville, LA which is close to Lafayette, LA.
Have you be growing then a long time? Are all your plants thriving good in this area. I had trouble with Supreme and Fry(ones most exposed to the sun discolor and tend to be poor). Black Beauty and Pam are my favs.
@rjscratch123 I ended up pulling my Black Beauty and Darlenes out. They just did not produce many grapes. I have been growing for over 15 yrs. I will be replacing this year with more Sweet Jenny and Pam. I had a Supreme and pulled it too for poor performance. I have a couple of muscadine videos on youtube. Look under my name - toddrodrigue and you will see them. I have a wine making one too.
What part of Louisiana are you in? I am in Vacherie, LA and I have Ison, Darlene, Pam, Sweet Jenny and will be adding Pineapple and Black Beauty this year.
I liked the video found it to be very informative. i have a small garden and would like to grow some of these grapes I only have room for a 23ft trellis would this be long enough, where i could grow 2 grape vines .also what type of fertelizer and how often do you use it thank you
@bynnz, I also have one Noble, it was one of my two original plants when I started this hobby nine years ago. I do have several variety and I purchased most of my plants from Isons nursery in Georgia. I have Sugargate, Black Beauty, Ison, Pam, Fry, Nesbit and a few others. You can get them thru the mail as sprouts in the winter and plant them in very early spring. I live in Louisiana so you might consult with Isons to see what thrives in your area.
I do blackberries too. I have Ouchita, Natchez and Apache and they grow really well here in Vacherie.

You have a beautiful vineyard. Where did you get your plants. I have one muscadine (Noble). I would like to try other varieties.
