  • I love her, fantastic one of a kind voice!

  • Eva Marton is one of the greatest opera artists. Her voice is really grand.

  • Golden voice.

  • I fully agree. One of the greatest voices and artist. Eva Marton is incredible

  • she made a mistake at 2:23, but BRaVA

  • stupid coment

  • it´s wonderful to see that the goddess also make mistakes lol

  • mi soprano favorita

  • I really enjoy her voice, it's so dramatic. It almost sounds mezzoish. If only she hadn't ruined her voice singing so many Turandots. That is soprano suicide, unless you're Neilsson.

  • What are you talking about????

I think she has no problem with breathing. Moreover, her performance and singing is PERFECT. Her voice is in the right position, and there is no doubt about the fact that her breath could not be better than in this video. I just hope that the prveious stement was not serious, otherwise I think she/he is incompetent...

  • PROBLEM WITH BREATHING. TSK TSK

  • Now, I have given my apologies, so there's no need to search for some witty rejoinder.

  • "Loud" does not equal good. My god, compared to the TRULY greats, this is a ridiculously amateurish performance.

  • poor you! You must be a very crabby man! You critisise someone whom you have never heard live! And the saddest thing is that you think that you have the right to do so! No, no, no no!

If you can do it better, come on, show us! If not, SHUT UP!

  • I have every right to share my opinion, but that does not mean that it's the truth. You obviously don't agree with me, so why even bother going out of your way to insult me? I didn't think it was a good performance, and I said so. You, however, have no right to insult me like that on a personal level. I didn't like the performance, and you did, so there is no need for that kind of immature behaviour.

  • You certainly have the right to share your oppinion. When your are technicaly against some point and describing it. But when you use words like ºridiculousº and ºamateurº about someone who is professional and reconized as a great artist, you are reaching the lady in personal level. She passes far from that. The boundaries of a good intentioned critic has close limits.

  • There's no point in arguing about tastes!

Some will like this performance, some won't.

And of course you have the choise to leave your comment here. And I (and we) have the right to reply!

I think it is inappropriate to use such words (ridiculous, amateur) for an artist who won more prises than you can count!

  • "From 1981 to 1986 she was selected three times among the best artists of the year by the New York Times for such roles as the Empress in Die Frau ohne Schatten, Elisabeth in Tannhäuser and Tosca."

  • User Impatraz, your first posting is so typical of many online comments. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of insulting people. Then, once you felt offended YOURSELF, all of sudden you became defensive and sensitive. That's too easy. Please switch on brain and manners before posting rudiness ("ridiculously amateurish performance")and people with treat you with the same fashion. It's nor about personal taste, it's first of all politeness.

  • You are right. I was being an ass, and I do regret coming across as one. I had a crappy day, but I guess I could have worded it differently. I stand by what I said; I am still not fond of her performance, but the manner of which I articulated it, was wrong. So, I do apologise to all of you who found my comment offensive. But, perhaps you should take your own advice the next time, and just ignore stupid comments, instead of wasting your own time on preaching to strangers sitting behind a screen.

  • Nagyon jó!Igazi művész!Kell ennél több??

  • Well, it's loud.

  • eww

  • oh dearrrrr

  • The Conductor is Imre Pallo. Great operatic conductor and my teacher.

  • Too heavy, luck of dynamic alterations, shorted B flat and no piano in the following phrase. The capacity, the suggestion are not there.

  • Per KEE, she sings, instead of Per KAY. That

s what I am talking about. But, beautiful, nonetheless. Beautiful.

  • awesome on the whole.

Pinches the vowels, but hey, no body is perfect.

    Perfectly awesome to listen to.

  • I do like Eva in some repertoire, and she is not bad here. Not Great, but not bad. She shorted that B-flat a bit, but overall very nice.

  • Not short it is ok, but why the sound of the Bflat is acid ?

  • Wow...I was there that night...brings back memories. Szep volt. Kosz.

  • I love Eva Marton. She has both an incredible vocal and stage presence. The voice was probably as not refined as other great sopranos but there is an intensity and passion that is unforgettable.

  • omg, this is sooo terrible

  • Oh my darling what's so terrible? That you lost the plot?

  • Great performance btw.

  • What a gift!!!!

  • power and emotion a great performance

  • fantastic Eva Marton .. the greatest diva!!

  • she's so beautiful...and dramatic...

    bravissimo eva...
