why doesn't anyone just build a supertall tower, just for the sake of having the worlds tallest tower. it doesn't have to have offices it doesn't have to have any use. just make a 5000ft pole and set it up.

Ok, I'm not from New York but, I'm smart enough to know Freedom Tower isn't the "rebuilding of" The Twin Towers,its a new building near the memorial site to remind people the USA is still standing tall,besides the fact they don't just build building for the heck of it, they obviously need another building for New Yorkers to work in and as far as I've heard its gonna be smaller than the Twin Towers also. Sure,it might have the same uses but saying its the same thing isn't legit!

It is ridiculous how long it is taking to build this building. We have had two very large sky scrapers go up in the last 8 years here in Houston, but they haven't done crap in New York at this site during this time.

to be honest i'm not sure when it will be completed. you say 2014. one site i read says 2012 and another site i read says 2018. the question is: which one is the right answer?

Those are the PATH commuter trains coming in from New Jersey. They come into the southwestern part of the site, enter the PATH station, and leave going out the other way -- out the northwestern side of the site. They used to be called 'the tubes' back in the day, because the tunnels underneath the Hudson River are tubular.

I think they should bring back WTC, make the skyline complete again, it looks boring without the towers there. There's been a load of pics of the freedom tower, what will it actually look like when it's built?

Thanks for the video update! I'm only 15, but all my life i wanted to go to the twin towers, but when i got old enough to actually remember what i saw, my dad then told me"i'm sorry son we can't go see them because they're not there anymore!" But anyway thanks for the update!

Are you even aware of how much work is involved in rebuilding all this? I mean honestly just look at the video and all the buildings and rebuilding the subway line, I know it's been a while but it takes times.
