  • porqueria jajaja puuuffffffff

  • Why the heck they are holding him down? Let him fly! I wanna see him flying in the sky!

  • the rocketeer :)

  • It's not a jetpack, it's a pair of ducted fans on a main framework that he's strapped to.

  • straight out fail, what's the use if they can't even control it in an open area

  • 300 years from now, everyone will watch this video and laugh at how poor our technology was :P

  • I still prefer the regional airlines.

  • Tattoo techneiques

  • This is fucking shit.

  • INCREDIBLE!

  • i would fly away with it for free. lol

  • what i wouldnt give to show up to work in one of these things, or drive down the road lol

  • /watch?v=WtI1GP147Cs&feature=related

  • the rocket jet pack is way better than this shit

  • why don't these guys crank it?

  • 1 2 3 let go ! :P

  • Water powered jetpack is more enjoyable than this.,

  • what's this shit

  • I would have let him go!!

  • can u stay on a jet pack as long as u want

  • its the new way to climb the everest :D

  • Mythbusters busted! :D

    nice machine

  • cool

  • everyone that jet pack use 2000 to 5000 mlg per sec if those to men wernt holding him down he'd be atleast 50,000 feet in air

  • @masterdon565 how would you know??

  • they were holding him down because this jetpack is currently UNDER DEVELOPMENT. in recent tests it has reached 5000ft with the potential for more. it can attain speeds of 100km. The company, Martin Aircraft Company in New Zealand, hopes to start selling at the end of the year. it will be the first commercially available jetpack

  • 3 vacuum cleaners strapped on your back?

  • this jetpack has now reached a altitude of 5,000 feet

  • esse bagulho é muito grande pra carregar nas costas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was weak

  • why they didn't him let him fly ?? that was boring and fail

  • flop!

  • they shouldve just attached ropes and held onto those.. this way you can tell they werent holding it up, yet still getitng their job done..

  • that does not look fun at all.

  • Improper use of industrial vacuum cleaner ;P

  • yeah, those two guys effortlessly held a 180lb man and a 350lb piece of equipment.

  • @Jesse22H you're a retard

  • @TandemDawgBMG YOU'RE the retard for not understanding the sarcasm in my comment. Many people commented saying "those guys were holding him up!" they look like they are barley putting in effort. They are just stabilizing him and holding him down.

    moron.

  • @Jesse22H yeah if you understand sarcasm that is

  • @TandemDawgBMG yeah if you understand comments that is.

see how little sense that made? I have no idea what the fuck you meant by "yeah if you understand sarcasm that is"

  • @Jesse22H if u use ur brain u will find out thei're holding him down and not up.....

  • @Gozzimo54321 use YOUR brain and realized why 17 people thumbed me up.

my comment was clearly sarcastic. I typed it because of the controversy over the assistance of the two people.

obviously they were holding him down/stabilizing him.

  • @Jesse22H Lmao...

  • @Jesse22H Hahaha

  • ...witchcraft!!!

  • wot a crock of shite!

  • What I really like about this thing is that it is whisper quiet. Imagine 40 people arriving at work in one of these things, it would be like a butterflys landing on fairyfloss

  • Watch the guy holding him up the jet pack slip and the air sucks him inside and his head gets decapitated.

  • They were holding it up!

  • ITS ALL A CONSPIRACY!!!!!

  • lol now let go of him!

watch him flip out of control. jet packs are almost imposible on the back and idk why people dont know this. it will puch the back up but not the front

  • @psycotoastFTW

have you looked at the other videos of the Martin Jetpack? yeah. thats right. Kiwi win.

  • ok, how does he make a turn?

  • @YiannisThiakos changing the direction of the output air flow under the engines

  • waste time and money all that bunch of shit for nothing

  • What happens if there is an engine failure? Or a drive shaft failure? Or a DuctFan fragmentation (right in line with your jugular vein)?

  • If i buy this does it come with the two guys that hold me up?

  • This thing blows

  • Let go now -_-

  • l a m e

  • You guys are stupid, the two men weren't holding him up, they were keeping him down....

  • @zbeauchamp

    Why? I wouldn't keep him down :)

  • @zbeauchamp No you're stupid. It was a joke.

  • @zbeauchamp its not "what they were doing" its what it looked like, and it did look like they were holding him up although we know they were not. it be awesome if they culd get more air though

  • @zbeauchamp youre right some people just dont get and there stupid.wait i got it thats how people be stupid lol.

  • Uncontrollable

  • I hope they had a couple biplanes at that show. They need some more entertainment.

  • epic fail

  • First flight of Flyer (first plane ever) was like 120 ft, but we still call it "first plane", so shut up and give progress some time.

  • that was flown, that was lifted by two fools, cant fool me, that was lame as fug

  • @tisoy909 search for martin jetpack and concider yourself fooled!!

  • @orangecan77 Search for Yves Rossy, and consider yourself behind in the times.

  • @tisoy909 dude thats the most impractical jetpack there is, the martin jetpack can be used for search and rescue and other various things and can actually take and land on its own

  • @orangecan77 this is the martin jetpack

  • it exceeded my expectations; its a jet and a pack

  • You mean the contraption on his back made him weightless and his assistance pushed him up. Thumbs up to the guy who said i want one at the end because you cant fly with this shit...

  • Look at me i flew 3 feet off the ground with 2 big unstable fans on my back, Hey stop throwing stuff at me !!

  • Хуета

  • Хуета какая то

  • IT DOES NOT WORK THEY NEED TO HOLD IT. NOT A JET PACK.

  • its a ballsack not jetpack

  • thats not real... those 2 guys where just lifting him... he's prbbly just light weight/.

  • my arse generates more downward thrust then that leaf blower

  • this is the same sumbitch that blows leaves in my yard every week

  • So what happens when they let go?

  • 00:02 Everyone on his right lifted up their cameras. When they watched the video later , they cried.

  • why is he taped to a small plane

  • got anything... oh i dont know... quieter?

  • To lift 100 kilos, and to fly for more than 30 seconds, a" jetpack" in the 1960 H2O2 powered style would not be feasible. This craft is extremely cool.

  • Sounds like a fucking leaf blower

  • Actually, this is a lot closer to a *JET*pack. These are single spool turbines. I.E simple jet engines. And it demonstrates the future possibilities of a jet pack. GOD.

  • wtf???

what did he do???' is people crazy nowadays!! he did NOTHING

  • thats just stupid... its not a jetpack! wheres the jets lol

  • what does this demonstrate?

    F... all.

  • hope you crash ------not good enough

  • Fair enough it is a piston engine, but 44 years ago man first flew a jet pack un-aided so are we going backwards or what ?????

Man flys jet pack 1966: /watch?v=CWt3FF909Wc

  • yeqah not a jet pack that classed as a vtol aircraft .... and he did fly ... not in the conventional manor but those engine lifted him ... the guys were just there to hold him steady

  • Cool. If they ever sell any. And show a real demonstration.

One outside the factory without everyone hanging on to it.

  • Sure it's impressive no doubt., but from the videos, you apparently need people to help guide you. That's kind of disappointing.

  • Comment removed

  • lame

  • you can do it better with a Labala turbine, 300 HP or more in 50 kg of weight

  • Mythbusters, you aren't aerospace engineers, so don't tell those who are what they cannot do.

    XD

  • junk

  • so if i held a fan up in the air my hands would be flying???

  • @NASAvsPETE They weren't applying any force to hold it up because that thing had to have weighed a lot

they were making sure he wouldn't go flying

  • on superhumans, a guy built a real jetpack and flys side by side to the plane

  • TO HEAVEY NOT WORTH IT FAILED!!

  • Mythbusters do so many experiments wrong, they are invalid lol

  • que cagada

  • A science geeks paradise!

  • Sounds like a leafblower

  • bend your knees when lifting a man on a jet pack.

  • Unfortunately that wasn't very impressive because of the two guys. It just ended up looking like they were holding up a guy with s leafblower.

  • @TheRealAkaRai watch?v=2TBndcBjQFM

  • These morons are cheering when he didn't even fly!

  • The 2 guys are really strong!

  • Sounds like a leaf blower. :D

  • For 100k, do the 2 guys keeping the thing steady come with it? Or do I have to pay extra for them?

  • @NBAGOATS They held it down so that it wont drift into the crowd, they didnt use its full capability because its just a demonstration that those two engines can lift a person up and him him/her up there. The jet pack can go up to 8000 feet high and 63 mph for 30 minutes.

  • @HoOkEdOnBlEaCh Uhh,..ok. The question still stands. Do I have to pay extra for the 2 guys to hold the thing still, so that I don't "drift" into oncoming traffic?

  • what ever happen to going GREEN. Great more freakin gas gussler

  • @ehilado06 shut up pussy. It's a fucking jetpack. Don't be against progress because you are a pussy.

  • Harrison Martin got the idea from WILLEY COYOTE from the BUGS BUNNY SHOW.

to be honest it looks like a Gardener build this thing because it sounds like two WEEDWACKERS

  • Reminds me on GTA

  • Apparently this is a ground effect machine. Maximum altitude maybe 4 feet? Let me see a video of this machine flying higher. I would love to be wrong about this.

  • @notsuretwo apparently you failed to read the description. It explained reason of the altitude.

  • @notsuretwo

Ground effect machine? You failed miserably at looking smart... xD

  • pathetic

  • @johnsharptool

You are obviously looking for a dick to rip your asshole apart. :D

  • it was an optical illusion. Those two guys lifted him up.

  • IT'S A FANPACK!

  • this isn't a jetpack at all it's just an airplane on his back,

    and he didn't fly

  • @Cefiay those things they were holding on to wee to holdim down from going realy high and crashing and yes he did fly......you fail

  • @Cefiay Define "fly". He was most certainly hovering off the ground. And what makes it not a jet pack? It's certainly using jet engine turbines. Fail my good sir.

  • @deusprogrammer its got a 2 cycle motor powering two fans

  • @deusprogrammer where is this turbine u speak of. it looks giant shitty ducted fans and sounds like a damned lawnmower engine. pos for sure

  • @PoopStar32 You win.

  • @Cefiay yes he did they just have to hold him back xD

  • @Cefiay its not a jetpack, It's called a ducted fan, pretty bad uncontroled hover, not flight.

  • @Cefiay go search for martin jetpack, he can fly

  • @Cefiay

    lol,

so the bird has just feathers on his back, and he didn't fly , ah ?

The bird flies with that feathers, and the airplane on his back makes this man fly!!!

    Just look!

  • @schusterlehrling didn't talk about about a bird m8, if the man was flying they had to led him go and not hold him on the ground

  • @schusterlehrling but a bird is not holded up by 2 men

  • @Cefiay how didn't he fly???

  • @Designandrew there was just coming air out of the airplane on his back but it's like the 2 people are lifting him.

it was 395790546 times better if they had released him or better was: if they made the "backairplane" could go 9999999 km/ph and let him crash on the moon but thats too seriously. loooooolz see ya

  • @Cefiay they are NOT lifting him. That thing weighs alot. Go look up "martin jetback for VIP" and you can see some flying it untethered without guides.

  • @Designandrew i didn't say they did, i said it's like lolz

  • how hard is it to hook up a hover pack to a gyro system... srsly

  • haha they want to charge $10,000 for this experience ? I can get in a fricken airforce jet for less then that can this thing even fly out of its own ground effect ive had a bigger blast on a rope swing thanks I think NZ needs to go back to doing what its good at ----- sheep

  • this is not a jet pack ! its two ducted fans , jet means jets not fans ,

  • put a bunch of heli gyros on it computer controlled and you got it!!

  • FAIL.

  • Underwhelming.

  • Shithouse. I could fart my way to that altitude and i don't need two people holding me stable. I hope you realise what a monumental waste of time and resources this is.

  • @1dschamp LOL

  • junk u cant controll it i can do better than that and i know nothing about it

  • HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN THIS MECHANICAL NIGHTMARE FLY HIGHER THAN 4-5 feet? or in a mild 15-20mph crosswind? They eagerly tout an 8000 ft. ceiling YEAH RIGHT!. That makes good press and sounds impressive BUT just once, I would like to see it fly out of ground effect! COME ON MATES! SHOW EVERYONE I'M WRONG! Hook up a retractable safety tether and take it up on a sunny day to 25 - 30 meters...Remember, the US had Moller's Skycar, now it looks like NZ has the Martin Jetpack! SAME DREAM DIFFERENT ERA

  • @airwalker13 I think I've seen this particular getup fly unteathered across a large yard, maintaining an altitude of about 6 or 7 feet...I'll see if I can't find it again.

  • @contributor34 Yes, I saw that flight 2yrs ago...Look up ( martin jetpack flight ) The pilots feet never get higher than the 2 safety guys shoulders as they run along side it. The guys appear to be of average height so I guesstamate about a 5 ft. altitude on that video..that's the same as today nearly 2yrs later! I just don't see any appreciable progress over that timeline. Maybe they should try 4 fans instead of 2, or use 2 much larger fans, then they can call it the Martin Osprey!

  • when u buy one, be sure the 2 guys are inside de box :D

  • hahahahah,,,that was the funniest thing I have ever heard,,,hahahah,,I pissed my pants,,

  • I see Murphy's law written all over this. One crash the kills or injures people on the ground and it will be sued into bankruptcy.

  • Much more impressive in the VIP video. This one looks like the two guys are keeping the jet-pack upright. The other one actually shows the jet-pack flying on its own. Nevertheless, that is amazing!

  • It sounds like the tool for blowing leafs.

  • dumb

  • Very good but VERY expensive :(

  • well at least he didn't blow up

  • Too big, bulky and heavy but great idea :)

  • Mythbusters failed with this one

  • this isnt techinicaly a jetpack though.

  • @TheNewVideos Then again theirs dident look like this one

  • @TheNewVideos MythBusters investigates the urban legend of an affordable jet pack or rocket pack that can be built from plans purchased on the Internet. There has been precise jetpacks since the 60s but they costed millions.

  • @armymanhaha

Not millions, but a few hundred thousands and expensive fuel.

This is a different approach then a rocket device, and takes less fuel, while it is more stable and has a better performance.

It is still as mmuch as a car, but less then say a ship or a plane.

And flies longer abd higher then the rocket based jetpacks.

It is a step forward, a giant step.

  • so this is what our tax money goes??

  • no private company, but who knows wear our tax money goes. Take it easy.

  • @Cilanae it was really just a joke lol

  • this is shit if you buy one do the two guys come with it to balance it for you lol
