Petition or not, it would take years for Xillia to be localized. Namco/Bandai's localization pace hitherto suggests that were Xillia to be localized the time frame would be extremely large. Think about it: it will be four years since Graces F was originally released in Japan once it reaches US shores next March. So even an affirmation (of localization) is really meaningless given such a liberal time frame.
Hmmm tales games are racist, they only put japenese characters,in there games! No, but i would love to see some different types of characters in tales series. They are all so similar

Full-motion performance capture and real time in game cut scenes... Ugh... crap. All of those cut scenes will be horrible in the English localization. Get ready for lots of restrained acting, guys and gals, cos that's what you're gonna hear. This is why I prefer speech balloons.

A lot of localized Japanese games are dubbed with horrible English voice overs, but games like Hyper Dimension Neptunia also gave players the option to play with English voices, or with Japanese voices with English subtitles, which is what I chose. So, there's a possibility they will do the same for this game if it comes to the states.

@BossPanzer I'm in the same boat, I want to play it soooo bad. However, even though its likely we'll get a US release, I think they're waiting to see how tales of graces F sells. If their plans to revive the franchise in the US works we'll see a lot more support for tales games. It's a shame, I love the Tales series!!

I can't wait for this game to come in the mail for the sheer fact I really like Jude. I've heard things that this isn't the best Tales Game, and sure. Abyss is still my favourite so I can handle that. The game looks great, characters too, and the plot seems interesting, along with another fun battle system. Still Tsubasa Yonaga as the Seiyuu for Jude Mathis and viewing the Anime Opening, made me really want this game despite it being it Japanese still.
Im Japanese. I finished this game yesterday. It took 35 hours to see an ending cuz it lacks substance. Unfinished story made me be incomplete combustion:(

I felt that Vesperia(ps3) and Graces f were more fun than Xillia.

@robbyam I personally believe this to be the reasoning behind the stupidity that is consoles war. I know that I am a PS3 fanboy for saying this but the 360 actually affects how the videogame industries progresses, it slows down its evolution. Being a weaker hardware overall, many developers choose to make their games on it because it is more cost-efficient.
So not only does it keep videogames in evolving in general, it also dumbs down games that could deliver more.
@DayLikeAnother I do'nt think that is the case, really. In the beginning, it was much easier to develop games for the 360 than it was for the PS3. Also, HD development is much more expensive than it was to make a game last gen. Plus, while I semi agree with you, I do think LIVE has made progress for online gaming. It is much more refined than PS3 online gaming(though, basically, it's the same service). And I wouldn't blame the 360 as much as I would say the audience. One word. Shooters.

Although there are devs that don't have the budget to make games that take 100% advantage of a console's power, there are also many devs that would if it weren't for the cost-efficient lower specs on the 360. Take for instance Capcom, I can't even begin to imagine how awesome-looking their IPs would be. I also admit that how I see things can be sometimes narrow.

It would erase "exclusives" out of existence and every gamer could play any game they want without having to buy multiple consoles(it takes up a lot of room too!). Development would be a lot easier and much more flexible. All this dosen't necessarily have to be a PC, but just one console. But this is hard to achieve because there would be no competition and prices would be out of whack. It's a confusing situation.

PC wouldn't be a viable solution though, considering the fact that it's so expensive and complicated to put up a computer that are up to the gaming industries's standards.
@robbyam But while I do believe that you do raise a valid point, I don't believe that the LIVe had made progress for online gaming at all. How it works is basically like a dedicated server, you pay for a server that they make. It's more of a money-grabbing thing IMO. If everybody were willing to shell out a few more bucks for a better internet connection instead of a LIVE membership, I'm pretty sure PSN would run just as smooth, as PSN is home-connection dependent.

How tales games play out: you think you're a hero doing the right thing and helping as many people as possible. Halfway through, there is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE plot twist, which completely changes how the actions and feelings of the main party. Epic endings.

Final Fantasy tends to play a lot of things straight, which results in a lot of redundant characters. I mean, take X for example. Everybody loves it, but when you get down to it you don't need half the characters. They could have just made the game about Yuna and a guardian or two.

Anyone who is interested should join the Facebook group Tales of Xillia Localization (Official) a.k.a "Operation 13." We are currently trying to gather as many followers as possible to get Namco Bandai to see there is demand for this game.
Right now we have a few hundred followers, but we can become much more. If we all work together, we can convince Namco Bandai this game is worth localizing to the West.

I am also aware that Jude looks like a cross between Yuri Lowell (Tales of Vesperia) and Asbel Lhant (Tales of Graces), but also has the fighting style of Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia)

This game looks like is centered around Mira. I know that both Jude and Mira are the protagonists, but I can't help but see that Mira's the main character. From most of the trailers so far, it's mostly all about Mira. I can't wait to play this game! Girl magic swordsman ftw!

I never get the reason of a exclusivity, it just make people rage. I started the serie thanks to Vesperia too, I bought a Xbox for it.

@robbyam I personally believe this to be the reasoning behind the stupidity that is consoles war. I know that I am a PS3 fanboy for saying this but the 360 actually affects how the videogame industries progresses, it slows down its evolution. Being a weaker hardware overall, many developers choose to make their games on it because it is more cost-efficient.
So not only does it keep videogames in evolving in general, it also dumbs down games that could deliver more.

@DayLikeAnother I do'nt think that is the case, really. In the beginning, it was much easier to develop games for the 360 than it was for the PS3. Also, HD development is much more expensive than it was to make a game last gen. Plus, while I semi agree with you, I do think LIVE has made progress for online gaming. It is much more refined than PS3 online gaming(though, basically, it's the same service). And I wouldn't blame the 360 as much as I would say the audience. One word. Shooters.

@robbyam First of all, let me thank you for being civilized. I appreciate it very much. Although there are devs that don't have the budget to make games that take 100% advantage of a console's power, there are also many devs that would if it weren't for the cost-efficient lower specs on the 360. Take for instance Capcom, I can't even begin to imagine how awesome-looking their IPs would be. I also admit that how I see things can be sometimes narrow.

@DayLikeAnother I do agree that Capcom could of made better looking and possibly better running games if it wasn't for the 360. I just recently played RE5 so I definitely agree with that. But Look at it this way. If there was no 360, the PS3 would have little competition and knowing Sony, the PS3 would have been 400 or still 500 dollars this day. @DayLikeAnother gaming device(home gaming, not handheld). Like a PC. It would erase "exclusives" out of existence and every gamer could play any game they want without having to buy multiple consoles(it takes up a lot of room too!). Development would be a lot easier and much more flexible. All this dosen't necessarily have to be a PC, but just one console. But this is hard to achieve because there would be no competition and prices would be out of whack. It's a confusing situation.

@robbyam I'm pretty sure that we could keep the prices to the actual standards at the moment. I mean, it's been that way for a long time now. And yes, the idea of solely one console would be actually pretty good if you ask me. PC wouldn't be a viable solution though, considering the fact that it's so expensive and complicated to put up a computer that are up to the gaming industries's standards.

@robbyam But while I do believe that you do raise a valid point, I don't believe that the LIVe had made progress for online gaming at all. How it works is basically like a dedicated server, you pay for a server that they make. It's more of a money-grabbing thing IMO. If everybody were willing to shell out a few more bucks for a better internet connection instead of a LIVE membership, I'm pretty sure PSN would run just as smooth, as PSN is home-connection dependent.

How tales games play out: you think you're a hero doing the right thing and helping as many people as possible. Halfway through, there is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE plot twist, which completely changes how the actions and feelings of the main party. Epic endings.

Final Fantasy tends to play a lot of things straight, which results in a lot of redundant characters. I mean, take X for example. Everybody loves it, but when you get down to it you don't need half the characters. They could have just made the game about Yuna and a guardian or two.

Anyone who is interested should join the Facebook group Tales of Xillia Localization (Official) a.k.a "Operation 13." We are currently trying to gather as many followers as possible to get Namco Bandai to see there is demand for this game.
Right now we have a few hundred followers, but we can become much more. If we all work together, we can convince Namco Bandai this game is worth localizing to the West.

This game looks like is centered around Mira. I know that both Jude and Mira are the protagonists, but I can't help but see that Mira's the main character. From most of the trailers so far, it's mostly all about Mira. I can't wait to play this game! Girl magic swordsman ftw!
