The window was not the culprit but it appears the Bel STI was behind some heavy window tinting. This is a known issue with RDs

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

1) There's no STI

2) Winshield has athermic, metallic coating which decrease RDs performance drastically.

3) That "havy window tinting" is jast a paint and is neutral for microwaves (laser is a different story).

4) We tested it many, many times and RDs placed like that perform the same as mounted on a clear "white" windshields.

Have myself a Bel STI Driver, also a Renaul Laguna. The window causes dramatic loss of signal, even that high. Could you run the test again and hold the STI out of the side window?

Good to know they have Ramet in Wroclaw, will pay more attention when I pass on the A4
