@rockdeleste that weakness was removed from a Lanterns ring a long time ago. They have been able to affect yellow objects for a while now. @rockdeleste in the comics Hal Jordan is the first (and only?) one who can use the ring against yellow because of his ability to overcome fear. thats why hal jordan is called the greatest green lantern. That's one explanation but the reason he can affect yellow is because paralax was freed from the central battery who weakened the green lanterns power over the corresponding spectrum. In other words, paralax is the yellow impurity trapped inside the central power battery.

@rockdeleste His green thing isn't directly affecting Paralax. The meteor-like thing is not necessarily yellow energy, it's just a meteor type thing. It affects paralax when it's swung back because the catapult is affecting the fireball, not paralax.
