@Segeric there are other jobs in the military that aren't really different from civilian jobs, main difference is you were a uniform, biggest misconception I come across when I say I am in the Navy, "Have you been to combat?" I'm a translator in training, I listen to radios and read newspapers, in a office in VA. There are clerks, electricians, Computer, not every job in the military will send you over seas, don't mean to snap at you but serving is something that should be honored and respected

It's a big decision. Wait till you're 21 or 22 to decide. Get a taste of life outside of school before you join.
