This is an amazing video. So much to take in. The messages - and their unexpected twists and turns - gripping. The way each note follows the other. Studying your handwriting as they flash past. The bitter-sweet revelation they convey. Feeling admiration for you - and sadness. Plus you have never looked more ... beautiful. Is it the black & white? Kinda silly that your parents, who created you, have a problem with that. Realistically, you have more grounds to be angry with them then they with you. Just saying. Peace.

I replied ' Love them for who they are, not for what you think they should be. Acceptance, understanding, compassion and caring is what it's all about.
I will not pass judgement on your family, but, if you were my son, I'd be proud to know you're doing so well with your career, that you have many friends, that you're happy in NYC. What more could a parent want? Gay or Str8, I'd love you!!!
If I was your parent, Hank, I would be proud of you no matter who you turned out to be or what path in life that you chose to walk. My love for you would have no strings or preconditions. Nothing would be able to keep me out of your life.I would tell everyone, "That's my son, Hank!" And I would say it with pride in my voice and in my eyes. My fondest hopes and wishes for you would be, as they are now, that you find happiness and success in whatever you choose to do and wherever you choose to go.
I wish I could heart this a thousand times over. I know how much you're hurt by your mom's comments, but I know you love her all the same. This video so nicely captures that. Take a deep breath, maybe the message will sink in. We'll see.
