DNA is simply molecules of chemicals in a certain order. there is no programming involved. it is simply proteins that are joined together. creating proteins is possible under natural causes, as they have proved in labs.

@YamiYami17 having no teeth WAS better for a chicken's ancestor at one point in its life. perhaps it lived in an area where seeds were common and there was no need for teeth. the reason the dinosaurs went extinct was a meteor, not natural selection. However, the environment after the dinosaurs were gone were ideal for mammals to come around. just like how it WAS better to have a bigger large intestine at some point in our history but not anymore. simply because its not necessary anymore.

The plants we ate may have been declining or those with better developed teeth could eat something other than raw plants so they propagated more and that's why it is smaller now. If you got a PROPER atheist, he wont argue against god. He accepts that god "could" be there, but we would rather use our senses (sight, touch, smell, taste, and hearing) to find him. we would rather not throw ourselves blindly at god, and let him do as he will with us. So i would say that you are basically afraid of death and cannot accept the idea that when you die nothing happens, you don't exist anymore, and that's why you like in believing in god, because it brings you comfort, hope and so on.

You say that as an Athiest I sit here waiting for death because life means nothing (the entire premise of this video). This is simply not true. As an Athiest I strive to make the most of the one chance I have. If I do it well my legacy lives on through other people. My reputation will survive me - good or bad. I do not fear death, I fear achieving nothing.
I sincerely believe in the Athiest movement as a vehicle for social change in which reason and evidence are held in the highest regard.

While they are similar, one is completely different from another. DNA is simply molecules of chemicals in a certain order. there is no programming involved. it is simply proteins that are joined together. creating proteins is possible under natural causes, as they have proved in labs.

@YamiYami17 having no teeth WAS better for a chicken's ancestor at one point in its life. perhaps it lived in an area where seeds were common and there was no need for teeth. the reason the dinosaurs went extinct was a meteor, not natural selection. However, the environment after the dinosaurs were gone were ideal for mammals to come around. just like how it WAS better to have a bigger large intestine at some point in our history but not anymore. simply because its not necessary anymore.

Sami, I would rather not spend time disagreeing/arguing/attempting to persuade you and other enthusiasts to practice your religion quietly and with some sort of dignity. I'm an atheist. I'm not afraid of death. When I'm dead I'm dead. I wont feel, I wont think. Why would I be afraid? Until I die, I will live my life. I will laugh, I will cry, etc etc. Religious people however, scare me. People who doesn't abide by logic and reason is simply untrustworthy. Just because "Death is above us" doesn't mean we're not free. Some are scared of death, some are not, but the best thing about "death being above us", is that we make life count, we make our only life worth living.
We don't waste time going to church, or meetings, or worry about pleasing some being so we can have "eternal happiness".
Yes, I'm scared of death, I don't want to die, but that doesn't mean I'm just gonna believe in something that says you can live forever and make it go away.
