  • at first i was like "what a nice tutorial "take off and then land"

  • nice Ariakes, I have the black and white ones ^_^

  • shouldn't have this many dislikes. 90 angle is to protect legs, sure, but everything else is great.

  • deepening your landing means more activation of the quads and calves, which makes for a less forceful landing on the knee and ankle joints. Also, it ensures the momentum will be absorbed to the fullest extent, which is what the traceur wants on this type of landing...

  • do they have araikes size 13

  • 90 degrees is bullshit. Your knees are the strongest at a fully bent or fully extended position. Not somewhere in between (like 90°).

  • @Cornampoo I agree 100 %,

  • what are the shoes called?

  • @danyt19 your mom shoes

  • @YOMAMAXXL yea lol i crapped myself laughing .. you should think first before making a REALLY stupid joke

  • @danyt19 your mom

  • @danyt19 the shoes are k swiss ariake's

  • parkour is all about getting from point A to point B in the fastest way possible, and if you bend down that much after landing your precision, you will not have the ability to maintain the speed, the landing of a precision should be approximately 90°.

    - From the UK.

P.S - Check out the first backflip i did, on my videos:)

  • I don't get all this 90 degree stuff. Of course there are some good reasons for it such as preventing forward momentum but bending the knees deeply, as long as the muscles properly support them and slow it down, transfers much more momentum downwards and also leads to a more quiet landing in my experience. That said, if only a 90 degree bend is the correct way, it would take a lot more muscle to do so and still absorb shoch and sound (i.e land quietly)

  • that kinda sucked. Sorry...

  • !!! MIAMI FREERUNNERS @ OUR CHANNEL !!!

  • your a nooob

  • @FuturisticBeatProd probably better then you. Just sayin :)

  • pull yo pants up, boy! 0:24

  • now do a back tuck from 1 to the other

  • where did you get those boxes?

  • very unhelpful. A dude doing the exact same thing over aND OVER.

  • Those shoes are tight

  • breaking a 90 degree angle with your legs puts alot of not needed stress and pressure on your knees other than that really good form

  • he launches off the balls of his feet and lands on the balls of his feet.

  • I'm still scared of rail precisions... I just haven't got balls for it

  • @TraceurDarkS hahaha dont worry if you fark it up at least you wont hurt ur balls then

  • This is my favorite part of Parkour, Precision Jumps... my friends tell me that between us, I'm the best one so far :)

  • too loud in you landings!!!

  • @DrProfessorAwesome he is landing on hollow wood boxes!!, he is acctually very quite

  • gravityz3ro*****com

    a parkour forum

  • K-swiss ariake =D

  • @Petriealright the five ten free runner are better dude

  • In Parkour/Free running you have to find the style, jumps, landings etc. that suits you best.

  • Hm, wierd... for me that's pure instinct when jumping.

  • what shoes are those? i see alot of people that have them so i am assuming they are good for parkour?

  • @xylnathien it call k-swiss arikes but i really recomend you five-ten freerunners alien glow

  • so simple... so elegant... i gotta get better at this =P

  • where do you guys get your shoes?

  • its far

    u could hurt legs =]

  • this is an excellent video. i love that it's very short and everything is done by SHOWING you rather than telling you. wonderful wonderful wonderful.

  • can you learn parkour/ freerunning

  • plzz can you talk instead of words on the screen it is easier to understand

    =-]

  • Unfortunately, I can't do any of this until it stops raining... haha... trust me, it didn't work out so well. :P

Makes me want to have a practice course-like-thing, like you guys. :l

  • haha its raining here too

  • @rsuni0n if you try to do it in the rain when its dry it will be easyer but it didnt work for me either jajaja

  • Isn't that improper form? He's bending his knees beyond 90 degrees.

  • what hes doing is okay if he plans on stopping there but if he wants to keep going he will have some trouble

  • @xXMurderaXx Ah, ok.

I have learned a bit more about parkour since my post a few days ago and now know that this is proper form for when you land and want to stop. So uh... nevermind! lol

  • lol i dont know much of parkour but this little bit i was researching earlier that day lol

  • This shit is hard i cant get it down

  • ugly shoe color the white one looks best i think

  • Dont you find thoes Arikes wear out too fast?

  • can you get custom ariakes? there are some customs but i didnt see ariake.

  • awesome...

  • SEXY ARIAKES MATE

  • he goes way to far down with his body after landing. you should have about a 90° angle in your knees!

  • Post your video so we can compare....

  • u r supposed to do tht with precision jumps, the 90degree angle thing is tp protect ur knees wen ur fallin frum a large height, and to keep ur momentum goin foward which is something u dont want wen ur tryin to stabalize urself

  • Depending on how hard you are landing..forcing a rigid body can hurt your knees

  • @LundLPictures no he's doing it just right, you want full range of motion.

  • @LundLPictures 82235pass is right stop complaining!

  • @FuturisticBeatProd yo people! i wrote this about a year ago! why is everyone still attacking my as if it was blasphemy!!! and wtf, what do you mean stop complaining? i wrote this once, i did not write anything in addition! and by the way it's more of a style thing! some people do it one way, some do it differently. but the 90° thing should be kept in mind because if your doing a larger precision jump you would also want to protect your knees, wouldn't you?

  • @LundLPictures still stop complaining and learn stuff right

  • @FuturisticBeatProd who here is incapable of learning? it certainly is not me as i have accepted the comments of others ans said my consent! even if i had, do i not have the right to embody my own opinion? to me it seems you are the one complaining continuously, and if you don't diminish that subborness of yours then you will have to learn the hard way! you should consider getting a life instead of posing unqualified comments!

  • @LundLPictures 90 degree thing is a half myth... it takes good legs to be able to support deep squats and good flexibility at the knee joints but skateboarders, rollerbladers, olympic weightlifters ect... all squat really REALLY deep... and their fine...

  • @LundLPictures Yeah, cus we're all squares and circles. It's an estimation. As long as your muscles are the ones taking the impact, it's fine.

  • How would I do this precision jump if I was flat footed? [no arches in my feet, causing my ankles to roll in and lose balance whenever i land]

  • @TheDayIsNotLost

you still do the jump and landing the same, i'm flat footed too :( it sucks but you just learn to train around it or get orthotics :) mine are coming this week XD

  • 81594drumfreak; i think he finds balance easeir like that

  • dude that's great, i know it's the proper way 2 do it but it looks like you're taking a crap.....sorry but thnx anyways lol :P

  • I fucking hate trying to do precison. I can always do it if im on safe ground, but when I actually need it to get across something I always fail. : [

Good tutorial. Hopefully now next time I try it I won't sprain my ankle again...

  • i find it easier to land and gain balance by landing on one foot then on the next a split second later.. is this wrong?

  • had to join in and say Ariakes are legend, i have two pairs, the originals, orange/black/white with the air holes, and a pair the black/white/red combo, the grip is amazing and so far ive found it dont matter where you land you aint coming off that object, its just all about you for balance then and anything is possible lol

  • why wouldnt you just land with your whole foot on the ledge rtahter then just the ball of your foot? (Responses and tips to my comment will be helpul)

  • perhaps because if you land whole footed, it's harder to find equilibrium. I mean, we can lift our bodies on the balls of the feet, but we cant do it with the heels.

  • no all the balance comes from toes, in a way , gripping the surface. on a rail that surface is small and the archs and heel of your foot is much farther from the toes and in this case only connects the ball of the foot to the stabelizer muscles that you condition in your legs by doing rail squats

  • why wouldnt you just land with your whole foot on the ledge rtahter then just the ball of your foot? (Responses and tips to my comment will be helpul)

  • better for absorbing impact, landing on arch or heel sends the shock through your joints not the muscles. landing flat footed can lead to knee problems

  • i absorb cheese dookie through my hole behind my knee

  • how needs that shit?

  • i need help were to buy PK shoes. please help. i live in norfolk england wich is pretty country land so there arnt many places to go. HELP! great vid

  • ebay

  • i wear inov-8's, the PK series, and sometimes vibram fivefingers. however, vibram's are not recommended unless you know what you are doing and have trained/ran barefoot before since the sole is very VERY thin. it does, however, have insane grip. the kwiss ariakes are good too, but i heard the sole wears down quick (take someone's word about the ariakes from people who have trained in the btw).

  • his shoes are k-swiss Ariake Trainers

  • where did u get those shoes

  • co to ma byc kurwa

  • kswiss perfect freeruning shoe i have it to

  • those look like some comfy shoes

  • Hmm everyone who says hes doing it wrong why dont you post a video or link a video what somone doing it right, least this guy is helping people start out

  • you gotta jump forward not upward :P

  • wrong, a precision you should always jump upwards rather than just launching ur self at it, it gives you more time to spot the landing and perfect the precision

  • weird shoes

  • bad cutting.

and all you 'noob's are arrogant.

  • noob it didnt help he does everythings wrong

  • this was posted on my Birthday

  • this is not right tutorial, landing is wrong

  • noob

  • these shoes are the best for parkour

  • where can i buy em?lol

  • look up ariakes on teh interwebz you should be able to get them off the interwebz somewere

  • oh ok thanx for the tip :P

  • who the hell doesent know how to jump from wall to wall ? , ariakis are only good for grip and are mutch heavyer than most shoes

  • U bent your knees too much it must be 90 degrees.

  • ariake shoes??

  • ehh yes.. got some of those 2 :D

  • are they good ?

  • well yea they're good nice grip. but those pure whites get really dirty quick if you practice parkour outside. unlike this guy ->^

So you should'nt take the wite. but the orange or black-grey ones instead.

  • seriously who goes inside a gym to practice percisions?

  • ppl who are ashamed of being seen in public lol

  • uhmm some one who wants to pratice their percision jumps maby?

  • Smart Kswiss ;)

  • i cant find pure white airakes anywhere ha, this vid is sneaky advertising ha

  • you should not take the pure white, they get so dirty very quick. and impossible to clean after some time. its so damn enoying. that's why i bought these orange ones :D.. im not the one on the vid btw..

  • ridiculo, precisão muito de perto

me desculpe mas pulo de precisão tem q ter no mínimo 3m para ser considerado dificil

  • Those are ariakes

    Looking at ordering a pair

  • i got some of those :D there nice u dont feel it when ur walkin so good suspension

  • this is not good' the key here is too work with all of your body..

    this vid teach noting..

  • care to suggest another method?

  • ammmm sure i can,

ammmm well if you want send me your MSN or some thing and tell me if you want me video it orjust write,

    amm for start.. :

you need use your uper body to pull your laggs.. so you can imagen how the jump goes this way..

  • Ok never be to cocky or to confident on this move I imporved alot in this move now I almost broke my leg and there is a huge scab on it.

  • this video is an obvious advertisement. exactly what parkour is NOT supposed to be.

  • waht do you mean? its a good vid ?

  • Ariakes are nice, I have a pair, but they get worn out very easily.

  • i cant even jump that distance if im running.

  • K-Swiss Ariakes are cool.

  • are they any gd?

  • yea they are the bomb i have a pair i love them, they are great for wall runs and tac vaults and cat leaps

  • nice PK shoes

  • K-Swiss Ariakes,

    there ncie

  • this vid actually kinda helped me get my precision jump down, lol

  • wtf?

anyway any wana check out my first parkour vid coment and rate truthully

to watch just type in parkourniall

am elleven and am just begining btw

  • what the hell, his preparation is batty and he keeps his arms straight the hole way through, hes trying to hard!

  • what can i say....nice shoes?

  • This video is good but....i think it need more arms trowing :D

  • Im fairly new,

but i find it alot easier if i take a deep breath, then leap, tuck my legs in mid jump, then extend as i fall closer to the target, i can hit like 7-8 feet i believe.

  • yeah, I find that helps too, and I've been doing this for 2 1/2 years. you kill your knees if you just tuck i when you land, lol. props for 7-8 feet!

  • I can Do About 7-9 feet :)

  • haha the holes in the back of my ariakes are no longer circles. theyre ovals XD they havent popped yet though so im happy.

  • nice shose

  • yep its the k-swiss ariak if any one asks

  • I did 8 feet on my second try. Is that actually good??

  • Sorry to say, but it is a dumb question, Our14573.

  • uhhh no it's called precision jumps...

  • No its not!

  • Wow. I'm a newbie and still in the conditioning stage. Is it normal for the knee/thigh area to be sore. Heh I can't go down the stairs properly. Is it muscle soreness? I haven't used these muscles since..never.

  • Oh yeah. Parkour in its whole is a conditioning for things to come. Start small get used to it and take it slow. Go with confidence that you'll make it. Good luck and train hard.

  • yea, after a hard workout, its kind of important to ice up the muscles that you've been working out. generally, one leaves the ice on for about 15 minutes. right now, you should only be experiencing muscular pain, but ice anyway, since it helps prevent injury. don't wanna hurt yourself while practicing.

  • it looks to robotic, it should be fluid.Get some kalenji's!!!

  • Ariakes!? why...Get five tens they are way better.

  • dammN!! thosee friggin trainers are awsm.. the k swiss free running shoes.. =D .. he jumps really well though

  • K-swiss Ariake! =P

  • exactly bro ;) u know bout free running footwear? cause i wanna get some good running trainers but here i can only get nike, new balance, reebok.. uhmm yep ..i was thinkin bout new balance.

  • yea I bought Ariake myself a week ago, =] they're.. perfect.

Nike air max trained good as well =], and reebok just isn't my thing so I'd say nike or new balance yea =P

  • im jelous! ariakes aree awsm.. i havent tried em but even the design is relly cool.. thnx 4 your help.. upload some videos with ur ariakes bro! lol

  • haha =P I'll see wut I can do.. when the weather is right, the sun is shining.. etc =], I'll try to film some shit ^^!

    you just do the same!

  • MY apologies for the deep landing. It's just the way I've been conditioned to do precision jumps. Ideally you work your way up to the deep landings/takeoffs.

  • nice precisions

  • shut up

  • you cant even jump on a box you nerd fagbag.

  • 1. You can get far in life by teaching others. been proven many times.

    2. Cut ur mums hair its getting rather unbareable in the bedroom. She looks liek a man.

    3. The shoes are made for parkour/ free running - k swiss ariakes.

    NO DICK

  • why would he cut his moms hair if she is already looking like a man....Retard! I'm sure you like the short haired guys though, as long as they wear parkour/free running-k swiss ariakes. DICK BOY

  • Hi all, I think this video is quite helpful as I am hopeless at these jumps and this has really helped me

  • It should be noted that he's jumping to a high block, so he's really having to crouch down a bunch. I think it would have been better to show a level precision, so that people starting learn to not squat down so much. Getting the wrong impression and all

Rather than going big and landing where you ass hits you heel, ALWAYS start with short ones and train them well. You gotta condition for a while to take those deep landings with ease. They'll probably be easy anyways, but less chance of injury

  • Exactly. Anndd, I don't think there's a need for a tutorial for this. These american parkour videos absolutely blow.

  • so duz ur mom =D

    u prolly suk anyway

  • are there any special shoes recommended for parkour?

  • barefeet or really thin shoes are the best way to go. teaches you to be more silent and careful rather than being sloppy. but any flexible running shoe will do just fine, arch support is a must for some people

once you progress training with thinner shoes is a great way to go

  • the shoes are K-swiss ariake, i got them..

you can buy them of almost every foot lockers there is. and if that foot locker havent got the shoes then ask them where you can get them. :D:D:D:D:D L!OL

  • shit

  • um.... fuck you.

  • Work on ur landind, u must land that deep.

  • lmao this kid just said adidas ariakes.

    Ariakes are from kswiss

Adidas has a parkour shoe called "traceur"
