@ghostridethewhip247 Yes, there is the Magsec 4 in Perfect Dark Zero as well. Many weapons made a comeback, but mostly with different secondary modes. For example, the Magsec 4 in Perfect Dark had a three-round burst mode, but in this, you can shoot a wall and it will deflect and bounce off of surfaces, and you shoot around corners. The Shockwave, I think, is prototype to the Farsight XR-20 in the original, because this is a prequel and it's not as advanced. You can't shoot through ALL walls.

i dunno why people are comparin this to the original. Because u cant, there 2 completely different games. The only thing u can compare the original perfect dark to is the original perfect dark. But yea this is a great game

wait, wait, wait... you don't get why people compare this to the original? are you mad? they're both in the same series, they're both first-person shooters, they're both developed by Rare, and they both have 'Perfect Dark' in the title. Not to mention the fact that fans waited close to six years to play the next game in the series.

Of course people are going to compare the two! People compare the first two terminators and they weren't even the same genres (T1 was horror, T2 was action).

1) because it's a prequel...they're in the SAME SERIES...comparisons are going to happen

2)the first was compared, on a certain level, to Goldeneye from which it borrowed an engine

comparisons aren't bad, just don't be a douche about it. This is technically a prequel, but it sure looks different so I'd be weary of making too many comparisons

That's what amazes me today, I play modern FPS's and some of their gameplay elements are the pits compared to games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, sigh, guess time doesn't always mean progress.

@PlottedFate I love the music. It's different than the original's, but it's by Dave Clynick, and not Grant Kirkhope. I'm pretty sure it's because Grant was doing Viva Piñata and was swamped by that. I buy every soundtrack of a Rare game that I can if it's on iTunes. I've bought Kameo: Elements of Power, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Conker: Live & Reloaded, the Viva Piñata games' music (which is on one album, and Perfect Dark Zero. Also Banjo-Tooie and Perfect Dark's soundtracks from eBay.

@TheGoodWillSpreader It was delayed because it wasn't finished before Rare was bought out by Microsoft, then was made for the Xbox, but wasn't finished in time before the Xbox 360 came out, so it was made into a launch title for the Xbox 360.

@0verlord73: I agree with you that it's a great game: What's beyond me is why did they deliberately remove the ability to jump or sprint when there's plenty of buttons to choose from?. The game would be still very challenging even if you could run and jump.

Also the graphics are outstanding, it put even recent xbox360 games to shame! I wonder if this game uses the Halo engine;
