my firend has the same sub. How much power have you got running to it? My friend first had 2800w RMS and it was not enough, than he bought a new amplifier 5200w RMS, much much louder and also better sounding.

one time when I did an spl competition I run with a gzpa 1.6000 amplifier @ 0.5 ohm...is not about the power...dipend what use you do with it and how you build the enclosure for it...

for your information, gain is not an amplifier button. i can put my gain on +++

lets say my radio has 2V output ports RCA i shall have to turn the gain more open

if you have a radio that has 4-8 v output you have to close the gain against distortion.

Helix spxl is a very good subwoofer!!but I don;t know if you can find a recon if you burn the coil!!

go for a ground zero plutonium XQ if you want loud bass!!;)
