  • Have you heard the cd. and how the song goes. I dont know where you were at in the song .

  • @mrscott3177 Actually, he is right on point from beginning to end. He is utilizing extensive passing chords and progression, which indeed can be a challenge to follow if you do not hear the melody. Try listening to it again as you (or somebody close to you) sing the melody and even add a bassline. He layers his chord voicings beautifully and really opens up within each transition. Believe me, this is a different world if a person is not used to open voicings.

  • SO AWESOME , THE "SICK" CAN BE HEALED BY JUST LISTENING. I HAD A CHANCE TO HEAR JERMAIME PLAY THIS PAST SUNDAY "LIVE"......LOOKAHERE, IT WAS AMAZING! ......PEACE&BLESSINGS

  • Your God wants a yes is wicked

  • he is not the pastor his dad is.

  • Aint no Hammond Like an Old Hammond.Hammond Dealers All Around the Carolinas Keep trying to Talk My Church into Trading our for a New one.I see to it they turn them down.Love ur playng Bro.Keep on Praising.

  • ok so this was like reeeeeeeeeeeallly good (understatement) lol but the sound is like smooth smooth smooth.... its not so in ur face like the original. Really chill. i loved it.

  • no your father is the pastor not you you are the organist

  • Very nice.....insane....love the reharmz

  • Very clean.

  • very nice

  • This dude here had me almost in tears. Changes are CRAZY. I love music man. I dont like the term beast neither. Not for an anointed musician.

  • Jamaine has been a beast since age 4!!!! Then he got to go sit under the grand Bishop R.D. Graves and add some classical to that already water flow. Need to hear him play some shout with both feet on the bass pedals... Ridiculous!!!

  • What's up with the term "beast" everybody's using now? Forgive me, but it seems a little weird when referring to a gosepel artist, but I see it in the comments for just about every gospel artist I go to...just wondering how the whole thing got started.

  • @ahaiku its just urban slang fam

  • You are the truth mane!! Any musician who is current and has knowledge of where music has been, where it is, and where its goin.. Can and will appreciate this video!! Music is about expressing yourself..Play it the way YOU hear it!!! If I wanna hear the original I'D put J.Hall in!! Keep doin your thing.. Always nice to hear others cats who can venture OUTSIDE of the BOX!!

  • amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doc,

  • Excellent job!

  • Jamaine! The chords are beautiful! Just wonderfully melodius! I love the chords! However, it just doesn't sound anything like God Wants A Yes!!! Ok! For all you that think I'm hatin' on the brother! No, no, no no!!! Jamaine CAN PLAY!!! I'm not crazy. Anybody can hear the talent I'm just saying WHERE IS THE MELODY? That's all! Butch Woody, Cassandra Oneil, J.P. Morgan ALL say. "Don't ever lose the melody in the song"

  • I agree totally...totally sound advice. However, some of ur former statements is what I was addressing. And again, it was just done in fun. Wasnt tryin to impress or get a recording contract from this...lol. Just having some "stupid" time like us musicians have sometimes. Its all good! Got a project comin up soon, so yall keep ur ears on for it! God Bless!

  • the melody is definitley there doc..listen!

  • That's true when you're playing to accompany a singer or choir, or even other musicians. But when you solo, you are pretty much free to play whatever sounds pleasing to the ears. Just because a song was written one way doesn't mean you aren't allowed to reharmonize it, even to the point of changing or dropping altogether the melody.

  • I been playin for 10 yrs and still dont understand how people keep their voicings so close! To the eye it looks like he's just playin all the keys at the same time! Inversions are one thing but its like they play inside out??? God Bless Doc. I'll keep watchin and learnin.

  • Lawd Mattie Moss Clark would be turning over in her grave. I don't know what's up with you musicians thinking that playing the song abstract as possible is in. You have totally lost me and the melody in this song. I don't doubt your playing is wonderful, but you need to keep it straight because it sounds nothing like the song! NOTHING!

  • Hater! You prolly play jus triads!!!

  • LOL!!!! Right! You betta ask somebody homey!!!! As I said in my comment, I'm not saying this brotha cannot play, but I am saying that his chords where so abstract that it lost the meaning of the song. That's all! didn't meant to offend you!

  • hamb3

f he was playing for on a morning service or with a band than he would have to play it strait. He's just playing for us views on Youtube. So he can play just as he likes!! Mattie Moss is decease now, Let it Go & stop living in the past. You must be a old person. Only old people have a problem with this type of playing.

  • Lawd! Forget not the former things!

  • hamb3, indeed if this was a church service, it would have been played more disciplined and sound similar to the song. However, seeing as its not, this was just done for fun and nothin more. Be careful how u pick apart someone's playin ability, or even what u would dare say about their anointing. Wat's annoyin to u may uplift someone else. If I had to prove anything, do trust that I have witnesses that can attest to my versatility, be it abstract, old school, hymns, etc...

  • ...its sad when we have musicians tearing each other down versus coming together, appreciating and helping each other. Sounds like the crab mentality that exists here in NC. If u don't like something, keep it moving. No need to bash. I usually don't respond to threads like these, but I need everyone who reads to understand that's its all about being who u r, not conforming to the opinions of people, and remaining versatile in all aspect of worship all while giving it back to God. Bless u all!!!

  • @ncbadboy330 You better say that for them one more time man...Its so strong the demonic influence that you can feel it through their comments trying to attack his gift. These people need to fast and pray for deliverance from jealousy, for jealousy is of witchcraft. And any gifting they may have from God will never bear fruit or become better and more anointed if all they can do is criticize a gift that they themselves could not give but would die for. I intercede for him and don't even know why

  • @hamb3 I don't our Dr Clark would. She was a progressive artist. I think she'll be cool with this just as long it was not during choir practice and service.

  • i like the placement of your voicings dac.. so sick

  • Ok can u be my mentor please...my God

  • this measurement of your anointing is heavy you

god bless you keep playing for his glory.

what camcorder did yall use so clear?

  • more like heavily annoying! Lawd what happened to the melody in the song?

  • God bless you!

Gerardo from Cabo San Lucas Mexico

  • He is in another world!
