They originally intended for Kat's arm to be blown off but this of course was too violent for TV, so instead smoke can be seen emitting from her amour - perhaps pointing towards her arm needing to be amputated.

Hey thanks for the view :-) The opening song is "Asphalt and Ablution" from the Halo 3:ODST soundtrack. The second song is actually a mix of 2 different versions of the same song, that song being " Lux Aeterna" by Clint Mansel, and the remix cuts in at 3:32. The 3rd song is the Main theme composed by James Horner for the movie "Glory" The final sequence I enjoyed the music and didn't change it, i only added all the voice over work you hear.
